How To Not Welcome The New Years Aftermath (MHA)
(MHA Edition x Gn! Reader)
MDNI
W: C: Bakugou, Shinso, Monoma, Kirishima, Aizawa, and Hawks) @ @miralunawritez
Bakugou
Tumblr media
Bakugou drove himself crazy looking for you.
You learned so much from him, how to hide, how to create boundaries, how to disappear.
He hadn't noticed just how lifeless the apartment was until you left.
He barely had any decoration and he wasn't someone who cared to much for it either. But you did. You enjoyed making the place a home.
He only bumped into you after a year of you moving out and dumping him.
You looked good. Better really.
He noticed the eyebags had disappeared, the acne you worried about was gone, the sad expression on your face disappeared. You were free of him.
He thought about approaching you but he didn't think he could seeing as you were so happy.
He would ruin you again.
He let you go instead but you slowly started being reintroduced into his life.
You reconnected with Mina and Kirishima, the three of you being close friends
Shinso
Tumblr media
You both went back to your apartment and slept like nothing had happened. You ignored it while he slowly let his simmering anger snuff out.
You continued your routine as planned but you stopped trying.
You didn't leave him any notes in his lunchbox, you wouldn't wake him up with kisses, and you stopped rolling over to his side of the bed to cuddle.
You stopped everything that you had done once with great joy.
Shinso struggled to notice the changes at first but as he slowly started getting lighter work he realized that you were no longer acting how you used to.
He would ask you to join him in the shower but you would decline. He would ask if you wanted to get takeout or wanted him to cook and you would just shrug.
You acted like nothing meant anything anymore.
He started begging you to go out with him. To get dressed up, to go eat out with him, to spend time with him at home.
He begged and begged all the time.
He eventually asked what was wrong and when you told him you were just giving him some peace, he didn't know what to do.
He cried that night. He hoped that he wasn't to loud so you wouldn't need to hear him but he's sure you did.
He tried cuddling with you at night but you weren't responsive.
He wondered how he could fix things. He wanted to fix things.
He missed you and he knows he ruined things.
Monoma
Tumblr media
He ruined everything and he knew it.
His affair had been going on for months ever since he got a raise.
He didn't know why he did it.
Thats a lie, he knew why. He liked the attention he got from the sidekicks who looked up to him. He liked the way people respected him more.
He liked being the center of attention and he liked it when he was your center of attention.
He missed your warmth, the way you woke him up in the morning by kissing his face and telling him he was your everything.
He missed surprising you with gifts and the late night dinner you would share when he would come back from patrol.
He missed you and he knew there was nothing he could do to make you come back as no one in your friend group would tell him where you went.
He only hoped that life you brought you both back to each other.
He regrets everything he did and he wished he could take it all back.
Kirishima
Tumblr media
He sees you again at the apartment.
He left the hospital two weeks after first being admitted and he saw you in the apartment cooking.
You treated him like a roommate who you were taking care of.
The love between the two of you had faded into nothingness and it was replaced with basic sympathy.
You helped him shower, helped him shave.
You made sure to take care of the apartment while he recovered.
He tried starting the spark again but you turned him down.
He cried a lot during this time, hoping that maybe he was in a coma and this was a punishment of some kind.
But every time he woke up he realized it was all real.
This sucked and he wanted his old life back but that wouldn't happen any time soon.
He hurt and invalidated your feelings. His own convictions were just as sturdy as your own.
Aizawa
Tumblr media
You left his apartment and went back to your own.
He didn't even notice that you had practically moved out until he came back one day and needed help cleaning wound on his back.
He called for you but you weren't there.
He took care of himself but when he called you your phone went to voicemail instead.
Days went by and you both had spoken semi-regularly about a variety of things but not your relationship.
He spent more time at work ignoring his failing relationship and invested his time in helping Shinso improve his skills instead of trying to speak to you.
You also gave not energy back into the relationship.
You had made it clear what you needed and he couldn't fulfill those needs to you treated him more like a passing friend.
Hawks
Tumblr media
You were hurt and you didnt want to talk to him while you figured out when or how this relationship started to go downhill
Hawks tried his best to talk to you but you had him blocked on everything.
He couldn't get a hold of you and it was making his anxiety spike as he feared for your safety.
He hadn't realized how much comfort it gave him to know you were in his home or in his vicinity.
So when you disappeared he started panicking when he had the time to be alone.
When he finally got a hold of you he knelt down and begged you to come back to his home.
He couldn't deal with it anymore, you were now part of his life and he couldn't go back to being left alone in his home which was supposed to be a sanctuary.
You told him that you wanted to spend more time with him, that you also didn't want to live without him but he needed to try too.
He promised it. That he will prove that he's changed.
He knew your feelings where still hurt and he would try his best to show you that he wasn't fooling around.

Pairing: Mina x fem!reader
Synopsis: After receiving the call from the hospital, Mina rushes to you. Once she's there she finds you unconscious. You had been hit by a drunk driver and were now in a coma.
Warnings: Drink-driving, car accidents, the reader is in a coma, trying to go for angst (let's hope it is indeed angst), death, death talks, overthinking, grief, the start of isolation (?) not sure, maybe abandonment issues.
A/n: this was actually hard for me to write, I never actually wrote angst so this is a first. Every time I tried to write angst it was always really small so this was a change! I'm sorry for any grammar/vocab mistakes, and if you have any notes or criticism I have my inbox open :)

Mina had never been interested in taking a part in any horror movie projects, she thought herself a versatile actress of course, but the opportunity had never arrived and if she was being honest, she was grateful for that as many would consider her a scared cat. She never thought, however, that her life would become one.
She doesn’t really remember what happened after she got to the hospital, one moment she was at Sana’s house gushing about the ring she had found, and the other she was rushing through the hospital doors looking for you. All she remembers is being guided to a waiting room and the excruciating time she had to wait to finally get the news you had been hit by a drunk driver.
Since then, she hadn’t left your side, she had barely eaten or slept. She couldn’t bring herself to leave your side, even in sleep.
You were supposedly well for the time being, you had undergone surgery and the doctor had called you a “fighter”, but due to the brain haemorrhage you had sustained because of a hit to the head during the accident, you were now in a coma.
“Here, you need to eat,” Jihyo said, putting one of the cafeteria sandwiches in front of her. Ever since she had been released, she had been stopping by as much as she could, almost always with Jeongyeon because of her new impairment. “How’s she doing?”
“Same as always…” She sighs. “How’s your arm?”
“Eh, I’ll be alright, doctor’s said it’ll heal up fine.” Jihyo sits next to her, showing off her cast. “Any updates?”
The doctors had been reassuring, telling her that there were positive possible outcomes and that you were responding well to treatment. “Well they have been positive, they said that she’s reacting well, but that we should be aware that there are other outcomes that could happen.”
As if on cue, one of your doctors got into the room. “Good morning, how are we doing today?” She says, calmly, as she goes over to you to check your vitals. “Her vitals are stable, everything seems to be just as it was yesterday.” She takes off her glasses, looking straight at Mina. “It has been two weeks, there’s little we can do now except wait. You should go home, take a break”
She couldn’t believe it had been two weeks already, it felt like it was just yesterday.
“I can stay until you get back, I’m sure her parents are on their way as well.” Jihyo reassures Mina, encouraging her to go home and take care of herself.
She saw a familiar face in the hallway, she couldn’t decide if she wanted to run away or run to him, scream that he had taken everything from her, chastise him for his reckless behaviour, tell him that because of his disgusting vice, he had put such a beautiful life in danger, he had put the love of her life in a coma.
She ran.
She ran to her car, she couldn’t breathe.
Who was she kidding, she couldn’t face him, she could barely face your parents, your friends, her friends. This was an overreaction, your doctors were optimistic, and despite the circumstances, she didn’t have to worry about you leaving her just yet. You had promised her you wouldn’t.
She was afraid, she felt like she couldn’t breathe half of the time. The noise inside the hospital didn’t help, doors swinging open, machines beeping, doctors walking in at any time inside every room. She didn’t even have time to let the fear set in, to let it marinade and let her think and rationalize it. She was also afraid to do that as well, because she didn’t want to believe that she had any reason to feel that immense fear.
After her first night at the hospital, the only person Mina wanted to talk to was her older cousin. She remembers how she was always around Momo when they were both children and how she protected her from other kids. She felt like she needed that protection then, she needed her older cousin with her. So Momo, after Mina had called her, quickly moved into your shared house. She would be there to take care of Otis, go to the hospital every day to make sure Mina was taking care of herself, take care of the house, and just be there for Mina.
“...yes mom I’ve slept, I’m taking Otis for a walk now, Momo had to go to the city today, so I’m taking him to Jeongyeon.” She said as she tried to get Otis to stop running around, trying to put on his leash so that they could finally go on a walk and as soon as she’s out the door, she felt like she could breathe again with Otis excitedly walking alongside her. She couldn’t help but smile at his excitement, she felt like she should’ve done better by him, be more present, but you needed her.
As she was walking down the road, she could feel the sense of dread rush through her. She was going to face Jeongyeon. How could she go to her house and pretend everything was fine? The idea of going there and facing one of the most important people in your life almost made her sick. You were unconscious in a bed and she was about to go meet your best friend.
She didn’t know what to do, she was helpless. As soon as she got the news she ran to you, she stood by you, she couldn’t sleep or eat, she just wanted to make sure you were ok, but she also knew that your health and your stability weren’t something that was granted.
Mina had never seen your father cry. He was someone who had always tried to bring joy into every situation. He was a constant in your family, the rock. Everyone always knew they could count on him to make everything better. You took after him a lot. She couldn’t recognize him now, it broke her heart to see him like this. He would sit by your side, gently holding your hand with his shaky one to his mouth, kissing it, while whispering sweet nothing's, trying to soothe you while trying his best not to cry or move too suddenly in a way it could somehow hurt you. During that moment, all she could think about was how unfair life was. You were in a coma, Jihyo had a broken arm, but the drunk driver who had caused all of this had got off with little scratches and a sore body from the impact.
“Your mom is going to be ok you know that right?” Mina whispers to the dog as she sits next to him, letting him rest a little. She knows he can’t understand her, but he looks at her and rests his head on her thigh, and for a second, Mina lets herself believe that he did understand her and is hoping as well for your swift recovery.
She tried to shake those thoughts off for a moment, watching as the trees surrounding her cast a dark shadow over them, despite not having much light, the quiet and the darker ambiance gave her peace of mind, she was at ease.
“Hey buddy!” Otis runs towards Jeongyeon as soon as he lays his eyes on her. “Who’s excited to have a sleepover, uh?”
“Thank you for looking after him,” Mina says, not knowing exactly what to do as she watched the older girl kneel to pet Otis.
“Yeah, of course,” She reassures. “How is she doing? Any progress?”
They go over to the steps on the porch, letting Otis explore Jeongyeon’s backyard. “She’s fragile, you know? Right now, the doctors say she’s stabilizing and that they’re optimistic, but there’s still a long road.”
“That’s good, I’ll go over tomorrow, I’ll take Jihyo.” They both get silent. They don’t know what to say to each other exactly. “She’ll pull through”, “She’s strong!”, “Everything will turn out fine!” were useless for them, it didn’t feel right to utter those words to each other, so they sat in silence.
“Are you ok?”
She wasn’t. She was everything but. She wanted to scream. She wanted you to wake up. Every time she had to wake you up was like torture to her, the idea of disrupting your sleep wasn’t something she liked, so if she really had to wake you up, she would do it in the most gentle way she could. Right now, all she wanted was for you to wake up, she didn’t particularly care about the how.
After she left, she no longer had Otis to occupy her mind, all she had was the sounds of the bird above her and her bustling thoughts. She wanted to block them out but once she got to her car, to go back to you, the silence became deafening, she was finally alone with the fearful thoughts about you.
Thankfully, as she thought when she went to pick it up, her phone rang loudly through the car, cutting the silence
“Mina speaking.” She clears her throat, getting rid of the lump that was starting to form as she thought about possible outcomes.
“Miss Myoui, Miss L/n has suffered a seizure and is now on the operating block, You should come as soon as possible.”
The doctors had told them they should notify anyone important, should bring relatives, important people in your life to the hospital. There was nothing they could do.They had discussed all the possibilities, what to do with your body, what were your choices, what would you had done if you were awake. Everything past that was a blur to Mina. She didn’t even listen to everything the doctor had said about organ donation, it was unbearable, and she unfairly let that information fall onto your parent's shoulder for the time being.
She sat by your side, like so many other nights. How did it come to this? She didn’t know what to feel, what to say, so she did what she had done since your first day there, she sat by your side, held your hand, and hoped for you to wake up.
“Mina?”
She couldn’t move. It had been decided. Not by her choice, she could barely move. They had found a document you had drafted that specified your wishes. Neither she nor your parents could or would oppose your choice.
Your Dad gently places his hands on Mina's shoulder, but she, startled, shakes it off, scared he would take her away from you so quickly.
“Mina...”
“Just...,” she starts, not sure of what to say. "I just need to hold her" she finally lets out in a broken whisper. “Please.”
She is left alone with you and finds herself getting up and laying her head on your chest, as gently as she can as not to hurt you, just wanting to hear your heartbeat instead of the constant beeping to her left. She knows this isn't what you would've wanted. You would've wanted her last memory of her touching you to be of your soft mornings, not of your stiff limbs. You wouldn't have wanted her last image of you to be of your body lying motionless on a hospital bed. But she still feels the need to go over to you, to trace mindless shapes on your arms, to kiss your hands, to hold you one last time. She wants to keep you close but can't bear to look at your face, knowing that if she does, everything will become real. So she keeps her hand interlocked with yours. Her ear, not touching but near enough to your chest for her to hear your faint heartbeat.
Finally, her legs start to give out, she feels like the ground had been swept from beneath her. She sits and takes your hands in hers. Without thinking, she looks to her left and is faced with your closed eyes. You looked so peaceful. Tears start to run down her face, hitting your clothes.
"I'm sorry"
You're still motionless in your bed.
She brings your hand to her lips and gently kisses your knuckles, just as she usually did in the mornings when she had to wake you up.
"Please" she tries. Mina's face screws up as she tries to take in a breath. "You promised you would always come back" she whimpers into your hand. "Please"
She knew this was for the better. You weren’t able to do anything. You couldn’t breathe on your own, you couldn’t think, you couldn’t feel. You wanted this to be your final act of kindness.
"Mina," Your mother says, laying her hand on her shoulder.
"No" She says, her voice coming out muffled by your hand.
"The doctors needs to take her." she tries, as gently as she possibly can, trying to get her to let go.
"I can take her there" she weekly says, afraid of the thought of letting you go. "She likes it when I hold her hand, I can't let go."
"I-" she tries, a sob threatening to come out, your father silently crying at the scene in front of him.
"She can hold her hand until we get there." A voice suddenly says. Another day, Mina would've turned and looked to see who it was. But right now, she couldn't tear her eyes away from you.
"You can hold her hand while we bring her in, ok?" the gentle voice tells her as it’s owner proceeds with others to ready your body for transportation.
Mina gets up, her hand still clutching yours. When she almost falls to her knees, knees buckling, they hold her up.
She walks with you the whole way until she is stopped.
"They need to take her now ok?" Your mom tries, her hand gently laying on her arm.
Mina looks up from you for the first time. She looks at everyone, confused, like she couldn't understand what she had said, not knowing how to answer back. A hand is held out for her, hoping for Mina to take it so that they can take your body away.
"It's ok." she says once she feels Mina's hand in hers. She pulls Mina in slowly, her arms wrapping around her frame.
She watches you leave.
Momo went to Mina as soon as she heard what had happened. When she got there, who she saw wasn’t the grown and confident woman she had watched her cousin become. It was the little girl who used to cling to her arm when they went to the playground, too afraid to be on her own in an unknown world. The look of confusion on her face when they had told her they had to take your body and separate them made her sick. She looked like a helpless child. She guides Mina to the car, she’s not saying anything. She has a dazed look in her eyes. She drives her home in silence.
As soon as she’s inside the bedroom, Mina seems to notice that she had been holding a bag. She opens it and inside she finds your rings and your glasses. The rim was broken. She wipes off the dust that had been collecting on the lens, folds them, and places them on your bedside table. She lays down and holds onto your pillow, quickly falling asleep.
“It was a lovely speech, we’re so sorry for your loss.”
Mina didn’t know how much longer she could stand there and hearing sorry’s from everyone you had ever known. While giving the speech, she didn’t feel like herself, there was this feeling of being watched by herself as if she was outside her own body. During the speech she felt the words run out of her mouth, she doesn’t remember writing them down, she doesn’t remember thinking about them, it all just spilled out. During the ceremony, she could feel Jihyo’s eyes burn into her, she hadn’t had the courage to face her, face any of your family and friends. She couldn’t face anything that was slightly related to you, even being in the same room as Otis was painful enough, being in the house you both had shared was a nightmare. That had a quick solution, however, she had moved back into her old apartment.
“Mina,” She couldn’t move. She knew she would have to face them eventually, but she thought, foolishly, that, maybe, some calls here and there would suffice. “Thank you for your words.”
She nods. She can’t bear to face them. “It’s nothing. She deserved more.”
“We would love to have you over,” Your father starts, slowly, knowing that Mina might not be ready as for now. “Sometimes talking helps, that’s what I’ve been told.” As soon as she met his eyes, she felt like her knees were about to give out from underneath her, she quickly grabbed onto Momo, not wanting to appear weak. His eyes were just like yours, even had the same smile lines around them, the same mole at the corner of your left eye.
“We should.” She says, trying to convince herself that she would really accept and go to his house, to have a warm meal, and talk about you, about how much of a gift you were, about how you were taken away from them too soon.
Just thinking about all that made her sick.
She was grateful for Momo, she didn’t make small talk, and she didn’t hold it against her when she made no effort to talk or interact.
After finally arriving home, she went straight to the shower, she wanted out of those clothes, they felt suffocating. As soon as the water hit her shoulders, she could feel herself decompress. The warm water running down her face, down her body, was all she needed.
Once out of the shower, she searched for something to wear, it had been getting colder. Rummaging through the clothes proved to not be the best idea, she found your university hoodie. The same hoodie she had folded weeks prior as she was organizing the clothes and coincidentally had found the ring box inside. She shakily opens the box, and inside still sits the most beautiful ring she had ever seen. You thought it was smart to leave it at her old apartment since she barely went there.
She doesn’t know how long she stood there, just staring at it, but Momo came worriedly to her room calling her name, so she assumed she had been there for a while. When she locks eyes with Momo, she can’t control the sob that wrecks through her, collapsing on the floor right after.
“She’s gone” she whimpers, feeling Momo’s arms circle her frame. “I lost her”
The older girl doesn’t know what to say, seeing her younger cousin so heartbroken, so lost, so unlike the shy joyous girls she knew, she felt helpless. “Let’s get you to bed, ok?”
“Please don’t leave” She whispers as she sees Momo start to leave the room.
“I’m only getting some water, I’ll be right back you won’t even notice ok?” She quickly says, trying to be as reassuring as possible. Sleep came faster than her, soon she was asleep in the bed you had once shared.

Pt. 2 of Imagine… Soshiro Hoshina Finding You on the Brink of Death
Angst, Fluff
Soshiro Hoshina x gn!reader
Warnings: mentions of hospital setting/devices
You can find the all angst ridden part 1 here!
One week.
That was how long it had been since Soshiro had seen your alluring (e/c) eyes, heard your infectious laugh, blushed at your gentlest smile reserved just for him. The past 7 days of you in a coma after almost becoming a kaiju meal had been devastating for him and the rest of your teammates. You had many visitors over the hours you lied completely still on your hospital bed, but you weren’t the only unmoving person in your room. Soshiro had rarely moved an inch from your side, only getting up to go to the bathroom. He couldn’t remove himself from his seat next to your fragile body in case you woke up; he couldn’t bear the thought of you being alone in such a vulnerable state anyway.
“They’re under the best care here, Hoshina. Go get some rest,” Captain Ashiro had told him on day 3, when Soshiro was sporting dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep. He respectfully refused, and Mina knew better than to fight with him right now—he was as stubborn as he was talented with his swords. Every time the nurses came in to check your vitals, they looked upon him and his sad state of being with sorrow, feeling awful to see the man in such despair. They had taken it upon themselves to deliver meals for him since they all knew he wasn’t leaving to eat. Even if most of the time the tray sat untouched, they took it as a win when a pudding or fruit cup disappeared.
Day 5 was the hardest for Soshiro. By that point, he was delirious from staying up practically all night in case you needed something. His typed reports stopped making sense, his brain nowhere near as sharp as usual due to the fog of grief that had settled in his mind. The steady beeps of your life support machine haunted his every waking moment, a perfect symphony of the anguish he couldn’t escape. Thankfully, Kafka had heard about his vice captain’s condition and visited that night, offering to take over Soshiro’s watch in case you woke up. Soshiro was extremely reluctant at first, but he knew that you and Hibino were close; he also trusted the kind hearted man enough to know he’d be there for you in case something happened. With strong hesitation, Soshiro left your sight for the first time in 96 hours, heading to the shower. No matter how hard he scrubbed, he couldn’t wash away the feelings of guilt he harbored over your injuries.
If only I was faster, stronger… I could’ve been there sooner. Stopped the kaiju from ever sinking its disgusting teeth into you. What kind of vice captain am I? What kind of… person am I? How could I ever expect them to love me back if I can’t succeed in my one job of protecting them?
He let his tears fall freely, mixing in with the water from the shower head.
Day 7 was the point where Soshiro was just… there. He barely felt anything anymore, whether it was exhaustion, anguish, or anything else. He sat next to you like normal, gazing at your chest as it sank and rose with shallow breaths, but his eyes were glazed over in a manner reminiscent of a man without hope. The doctors didn’t have an estimated time for you to wake up. With injuries as extensive as yours, there was no telling when your body would be ready to start running on its own again. Soshiro didn’t know how to process that news; he liked seeing tangible results, and the fact that you had been hooked up to all these damn machines for so long and nothing had changed? It was pure torture to him. He found himself inching closer to you, if that were even possible, and he took hold of your hand with the softest of touches.
“I miss ya, y/n,” he whispered, bringing your hand to his lips. He was careful to not disrupt the IV as he laid a gentle kiss on your cold skin, savoring the sensation of doing what had wanted to do since he first met you all those years ago.
“Remember the promise we made to each other when we were young and dumb? Now we’re old and dumb,” he chuckled humorlessly, “and you still have to keep up your end of the bargain. You have to survive. I can’t lose you.”
He took in a deep, shaky breath. “I can’t lose you because I’m in love with you.”
It was like the world was playing a cruel joke on him—he finally garnered the courage to admit he had fallen in love, but the object of his affections wasn’t able to hear it. He let his head hang in misery as he kept your hand close to his face, eventually placing it against his cheek. He closed his eyes, wishing with all his might that you would wake up. If you died… he wouldn’t know how to move on from such a devastating blow. He knew this macabre scenario had a high probability of happening in this career field you two chose, but he always had faith in his and your abilities to stay alive. To say that faith had been shaken was the understatement of the century.
“Y/n, please. I can’t do this alone. I need ya back with me. You gotta keep fighting.”
Soshiro went to place your hand back on the bed when he swore he felt your fingers move against his own. His eyes widened in surprise as his heart started slamming against his rib cage. Was that real or just his imagination?
It happened again.
And your eyes opened.
He slammed on the call button, informing the nurses of your awakening before turning his attention back to you.
“So-soshiro,” you tried to say, but your throat couldn’t form any words.
“Shh, don’t say anything, darling, I’m right here. Always have been, always will be.”
A grin swirled with anxiety and relief was present on his lips as he looked at you.
After a few hours of tests, doctors checking up on you, and small moments to collect your thoughts, you were finally able to form coherent sentences.
“You sat here the whole time? Now I feel bad,” you said, a small frown gracing your features.
“Don’t feel bad. I didn’t want you to be alone, that’s all,” Soshiro told you, nervously scratching at the back of his neck. “Did you… happen to hear anything I was saying before you woke up?”
“What, like how we’re old and dumb and that you’re in love with me?” you said, trying your best not to laugh at his shocked expression.
“Huh? You actually did hear me? I thought that only happened in movies!” he whined, his cheeks tinged with red.
“No reason to be embarrassed, Soshiro. I didn’t know how to tell you but I’m in love with you, too. I have been for a very long time.”
Soshiro was looking upon you like you had descended directly from the heavens, his eyes gleaming with unbridled joy as his fingertips danced over your arm, tracing shapes in an intimate, comforting manner.
“I‘ve been so worried about ya, sweetheart, but now that you’re back with me, it’s like I can breathe again.”
You relished in the calm quiet of the room, basking in Soshiro’s loving presence. He was exactly the driving force behind you willing your body to wake up. You could never leave him to walk this world alone.
“I also felt you kissing my hand,” you said after a long bout of silence. “That was very sweet of you.”
“Guess all I had to do was give ya true love’s kiss to wake up?” he joked, his little fangs peeking out of his lazy grin.
“I’m looking forward to my real kiss when I get out of the hospital,” you replied, attempting to wink at him.
He leaned his face over yours, his breath leaving goosebumps in its wake. “If you want, I can give you a preview of it right now.”
You felt your pulse quicken and apparently so did the heart rate monitor you were hooked up to; the machine started beeping, alerting that your numbers were abnormal.
Soshiro kissed your forehead before sitting down again, smirking. “Do I make ya nervous?”
Now it was your turn to blush. “Watch it Hoshina, or I’ll have you admitted into the bed next to me.”
Soshiro burst out in his trademark laugh, grabbing at his stomach and wiping away the tears forming in his eyes. You could be given all the medicine known to man but nothing could make you feel better than the promise of being loved by the easily amused violet haired man who will never leave your side.

You're my Coffee [Chapter 3]
Shouta Aizawa x Pro hero/Teacher! Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After receiving a distressing call from a Japanese hospital, you learn your friend Nemuri Kayama (Midnight) has briefly awoken from her coma and is desperately screaming for you.
She makes a final request: take care of her students if she doesn't survive.
Chapter summary: Rumi helps to 'encourage' your quirk during P.E. which lands you in some hot water- and in the teachers lounge. It does grant you an excuse to relay everything you've picked up about the students, including a certain green eyed young man that knows your secret....
...Whos note passing get's you an all expenses paid trip to see Aizawa after class.
Chapter 3: Detention
Tumblr media
Stepping out of the side doors, you saw the boys already assembled, waiting in the courtyard. Aizawa stood there, arms crossed, his expression as unamused as ever. The air around him seemed to carry an unspoken authority, and the students quickly fell silent as they noticed his presence.
"Alright, everyone," Aizawa called out, his voice commanding the attention of the entire group. "You were all almost late. Next time, tardiness will result in suspension." A few students snickered nervously, but most nodded, understanding the gravity of his warning. There was no room for leniency here, and the message was clear.
As Aizawa began to go over the rules and expectations for the upcoming tests, your eyes wandered, catching sight of Rumi and Taishiro standing by the bleachers. Both heroes held clipboards, their gazes sharp as they observed the students. It was clear they were here to evaluate the performances and ensure everything ran smoothly.
‘Who the fuck is staring at me like that?’
While you tried to focus on Aizawa's instructions, you couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. Glancing around, your eyes landed on the green-haired boy from the mall—Izuku, if you remembered correctly. He was staring at you from a few feet away, his wide eyes betraying a mix of curiosity and nervousness.
You glanced down at the robotic prosthetics of his arms and then back up towards his face. The moment your eyes met, his face flushed bright red, and he quickly averted his gaze, looking more embarrassed than before.
Before you could approach him to ease his nerves, Iida stepped in front of you, his posture stiff and formal, as always. "Excuse me," he began, his tone sincere and a bit rushed, as if he'd been rehearsing this in his head.
"I wanted to apologize for earlier. It wasn't my intention to make you feel out of place. I hope you can forgive me, and we can start fresh." He extended his hand toward you, the gesture as earnest as the look in his eyes.
His energy was soo nervous, but genuine! ‘Okay, I’ll bite.’
You smiled, appreciating his genuine effort to make amends. "Of course, no hard feelings. Let's start fresh." You took his hand, giving it a firm shake. Typically you hated touching hands, it messed with your energy. But he was trying and you weren’t going to fault him for that.
It also let you see that his energy was stretching out around his body, trying to hold onto others before whipping away and reaching towards something in the distance, or maybe someone you couldn’t see.
Iida's shoulders visibly relaxed, and he nodded with a small smile of relief. "Thank you. Now, let's get ready for the tests. Everyone, line up!"
As you took your place in line, you couldn't shake the feeling of being under scrutiny. It was weird, being tested again like you didn’t serve your time. Oh well.
Aizawa directed everyone to their starting positions, his voice cutting through the morning air with sharp precision. "First test: the 50-meter dash. Use your quirks to complete the dash as quickly as possible. One by one, step forward when your name is called."
Mina was the first to go, sliding forward with her Acid Slide, her movements quick and fluid. Next, a boy with electric yellow hair—Denki, you recalled—zipped through with a burst of speed, his quirk crackling around him like lightning. The half and half boy followed, using a combination of ice and fire to propel himself forward, leaving a trail of frost and steam in his wake. The variety of quirks was astounding, each student displaying incredible skill and creativity.
When it was your turn, you took a deep breath and focused, the energy of your quirk pulsing just beneath your skin. You could feel the positive emotions swirling within you, ready to be unleashed. With a burst of speed, you took off, the ground blurring beneath your feet as you propelled yourself forward with a trail of energy.
‘Not too much and not too little.’
As you crossed the finish line, you could see Izuku glancing at you again, his curiosity still evident despite his attempts to be discreet. Each time your eyes met, he quickly looked away, the blush creeping back up his round freckled cheeks. You couldn't help but wonder what was going through his mind.
During a brief break, you noticed the red-haired boy with sharp teeth waving enthusiastically at Taishiro. Taishiro waved back with a smile, clearly well-liked by the students. The camaraderie among the students was evident, their interactions adding a layer of warmth to the supportive atmosphere.
"Hey," a voice called out. You turned to see a wild Pickahu approaching, a friendly grin on his face. "The names Denki Kaminari. I just wanted to say welcome and that you were really fast on the track. That was cool!"
"Thanks," you replied, smiling back. "You did great too."
Denki chuckled, but you noticed he seemed a little tired, almost swaying on his feet. "You good?" you asked, placing a hand on his arm to steady him.
"Oh yeah, my bad. I was playing video games last night with my buddy Sero. You should totally join us sometime!" He looked like he was trying to keep his energy up more for your benefit than his own.
Before you could respond, another voice cut in. "Oh yeah," you turned to see Jirou standing there, her eyebrows raised. "Are you moved into the dorms yet? We didn't see or hear of you until now. Kinda strange."
You began to notice some of the other students listening in or stepping up to join the conversation, curiosity evident on their faces. "Uh, yeah, I guess it is kind of strange," you said, trying to keep up the charade. "I just got here yesterday, so I'm still settling in."
‘Not a complete lie.’
Mina, who had been listening, piped up, "Well, we're glad to have you! You fit right in." You could make out her features a bit more now that her hair was tied back into a mini pony tail. How her eyes were both so bright and dark was beyond you, but she was as unique as Mimi described. No wonder she wanted her as a sidekick.
Just as the conversation was getting more lively, Aizawa's voice called everyone back to attention. The testing would resume, and you could sense the kids' determination filling the air. You’d give them this: These kids had what it took to be heroes. Not just physically but you could tell their hearts were in it too.
Now you just needed to know where their minds were at.
As the group began to disperse after the initial round of tests, Aizawa called out, "Alright, everyone, we will now proceed with individual testing. I'll call you up one by one." The students nodded, the atmosphere filled with a mix of anticipation and nervousness.
You also couldn't shake the feeling of Izuku's occasional glances. His curiosity was apparent, but he kept his distance, perhaps uncertain about how to approach you. You kinda wanted to squish his cheeks and shake him a little. Just enough for him to function like a human.
You watched as Aizawa started calling names, students stepping forward for their turn. As you waited, some of the boys from the class began to drift over, curiosity evident on their faces.
"Hey," said a boy with spiky red hair and sharp teeth. "I'm Eijiro Kirishima. Nice to meet you!" He extended his hand with a wide grin. "Nice to meet you too," you replied, shaking his hand.
‘No sleep and low energy. Also is he a natural red or are those black roots normal?...’
Another boy with messy black hair and a confident smile stepped up next to him. "Yo, I'm Sero Hanata," he introduced himself with a casual wave.
As more boys gathered around, a voice called out, "Hey, wait a minute!" It was Mina, her arms were thrown up in the air, making her pink skin stand out even more in the sun. "We still don't know your name!"
"Yeah," Iida added, adjusting his glasses. "Proper introductions are important."
You felt a bit flustered, realizing you hadn't properly introduced yourself yet.
"Oh, right! I'm….uhh."
You didn’t see the problem in being honest about that. I mean, the kids don’t even call the teacher ‘Eraserhead’ unless they wanted to be an ass, that is. But you weren’t sure if they had been informed of your name at least and you didn’t know if you should give them your ‘last name’.
“Uhh?”
“I believe it’s pronounced ‘Uhhh,’” Sero teased with a playful grin.
“Just Uhh is fine,” you responded, trying to hold back a laugh.
"Uhh?" Kirishima repeated with enthusiasm, slamming a fist into his chest. "That's pretty manly!" He puffed out his chest proudly.
"Definitely suits you," Denki added with a nod, a grin on his face.
As the conversation continued, more questions came your way. "So, where are you from, Uhh?" Sero asked, tying his hair into a short ponytail.
"Out of country," you replied, sticking to your cover story. There was an intense heat behind you and you could feel the distrust and annoyance radiating off someone. Turning around, you were met with the kid who was on his phone earlier.
"What's your quirk?" the ash blonde demanded, his intense gaze fixed on you, leaving little room for evasion.
Before you could answer, another voice cut in. "Hey, don't feel pressured to tell Bakugou," Toru, the invisible girl, chimed in from somewhere nearby, defending you. "He’s always wound tight."
“ I AM NOT !” Bakugou snapped, managing to glare at the invisible girl.
You gave Toru a grateful smile. "Thanks, Toru."
"So, what kind of training did you do out of country?" Kirishima asked, his eyes filled with curiosity.
"Yeah, and who’s your favorite hero?" Mina added, leaning in.
Before you could respond, Aizawa's voice cut through the field. "New addition," he called, his tone flat and authoritative. Iida waved you over with a brisk motion. "You're up next."
"Saved by the bell," you thought as you stretched and walked over to the grumpy man. He seemed to be squinting a lot in the morning sun, his skin looking even paler than it did inside the building. 'Someone doesn't get out much,' you mused, but quickly snapped back to focus on him.
"What kinda test you need me to do, teach?" you asked, trying to sound both respectful and confident.
Aizawa regarded you with his usual stoic expression. "We'll start with a basic quirk demonstration," he said, his tone leaving no room for negotiation. "Show me what you've got."
You took a deep breath, your mind racing through the possible ways to demonstrate your quirk without revealing too much. You decided on a simple yet impactful display. Closing your eyes for a moment, you concentrate on the positive emotions around you—hope, determination, and even the negativity.
You felt a surge of warmth as you channeled these emotions, your hands beginning to glow with a soft, radiant light.
The students around you watched in awe as the light grew brighter, enveloping you in a shimmering aura. You focused on creating a small, controlled burst of energy, sending a wave of positive emotion outward. The grass beneath your feet rustled as the wave spread, a gentle breeze carrying the warmth and light to those nearby.
Aizawa's eyes narrowed slightly, and he nodded. "Interesting. Now, let's see how you handle a physical challenge. Head over to the track and run a lap without your quirk."
You nodded, the glow fading from your hands as you made your way to the track. The students' murmurs followed you, their curiosity piqued by your display. You took your place at the starting line, muscles tensing in anticipation.
With a burst of speed, you took off, your feet pounding against the ground in a steady rhythm. The wind whipped past your face as you pushed yourself, the world around you blurring. You were good at running from your mental problems, and maybe the police.
‘I can run as much as I want to. Running is a great way to clear up last night's bad choices.’
Maybe you could convince Tashi to make a cheesecake for dinner.
As you rounded the final bend and crossed the finish line, you slowed to a jog, breathing smoothly but feeling tingly. The students cheered on, their excitement palpable. They really were a pretty sweet bunch of weirdos. You walked back to Aizawa, your eyes questioning.
"Not bad," Aizawa said, his tone begrudgingly approving. "Next, we'll test your agility. Head over to the obstacle course."
As you were about to walk, Rumi dashed over, her eyes gleaming with excitement. “Hey, can I test her on the obstacle course?” she asked, practically bouncing on her heels. Aizawa, who had been observing quietly, nodded.
A few students exchanged excited glances, their anticipation building. Sero and Kaminari, perched on a low wall, whispered bets on who would come out on top, while Mina giggled, her eyes twinkling with mischief. Aizawa’s nod of approval sent a ripple of murmurs through the class, the tension thickening as you prepared to face Rumi on the obstacle course.
“Fine.”
You glanced at Rumi, feeling a mix of apprehension and irritation. You knew that gleam in her eyes wasn’t just for show. “Alright,” you said, trying to keep your tone steady, “but don’t expect me to go easy on you.”
Rumi’s grin widened as she followed you to the obstacle course. The setup was a chaotic maze of hurdles, balance beams, and swinging obstacles, with various items scattered around for added difficulty. The class gathered around, their eyes fixed on the upcoming showdown.
You took your position at the start, while Rumi stood on the sidelines, ready to interact with the course in her own way. “Ready?” you called out, getting into your stance.
The class, drawn in by her enthusiasm, began to gather around, their chatter filling the air. Kirishima pumped his fists, hyping up the impending challenge, while Bakugou leaned against a nearby wall, smirking in amusement at the scene unfolding before him.
With a nod from Rumi, you began, sprinting toward the first hurdle. As you leapt over it, items began flying through the air—foam balls, small weights, and even a few harmless water balloons. You dodged and weaved with precision, the obstacles becoming an intricate dance of evasion.
The instant you started, the class erupted into cheers, the sound a blend of encouragement and teasing. Foam balls, weights, and water balloons suddenly flew through the air, courtesy of a few eager students who had taken Rumi’s playful suggestion to heart. You dodged and weaved through the barrage, your movements a blur of precision and agility.
Rumi’s voice rang out playfully, encouraging the chaos. “Let’s see what you’ve got!”
As you navigated the course, you saw her preparing to launch a frisbee in your direction. With a quick decision, you grabbed one of the stray frisbees from the ground and hurled it back towards her. The disk  sailed through the air, knocking her frisbee off trajectory. Only for Rumi to intercept it with a powerful swing of a baseball bat she had miraculously produced.
‘This bitch tryin’ to kill me!’
The class watched in awe as Rumi smacked the frisbee back at you with remarkable force. You ducked and dodged, focusing on your strategy. The crowd cheered and laughed, clearly entertained by the spectacle. Kirishima was cheering loudly, while Bakugou looked on with a smirk.
Kirishima's voice cut through the din, cheering you on with a hearty shout of, "You’ve got this!"
Nearby, Uraraka clapped her hands over her mouth, half in awe and half in disbelief at the spectacle. Iida, ever the stickler for rules, looked torn between enjoyment and concern, his eyes flicking between you and Aizawa.
Determined to outmaneuver Rumi, you decided to up the ante.
Concentrating, you summoned a controlled energy blast, aiming for the baseball bat as Rumi swung it expertly. But Rumi was a blur of motion, never stopping her rhythmic movements. You shifted your target to the ground beneath her, intending to unbalance her.
“That’s enough!”
Just as you were about to release the blast, Aizawa’s commanding voice cut through the chaos, snapping everyone’s attention back to him. The energy dissipated in an instant, leaving you with a mixture of relief and frustration. The students, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, quickly quieted, their excitement dimming as they awaited Aizawa’s judgment.
You froze, your hand still extended, energy crackling at your fingertips. The blast fizzled out, and you looked down to see the ground you had targeted now a small crater. Your hands trembled slightly as you took in the sudden silence.
Rumi’s demeanor changed in an instant, her usual playful grin replaced by a more serious expression. She stepped back, nodding at you with genuine respect before offering a subtle wink, one that only you caught. The gesture, though small, ignited a flicker of irritation in you, a reminder of her relentless competitiveness that made you want to kick her in her cottontail.
Aizawa’s red eyes bore into you, his stern gaze a reminder of his authority. The class was silent, their earlier excitement giving way to nervous anticipation.
Rumi stepped back, her playful grin replaced with a more respectful expression. “Good job,” she said, her tone now serious. “You’re definitely a worthy opponent.”
You took a deep breath, nodding at her. “Thanks. I guess.”
Aizawa approached, his expression unreadable. “You’re done for now. Next time, be more controlled.” His hair drops to his shoulders again and he grumbles before pulling out some eye drops.
“You first.”
“ooooooooooo!”
Your mouth is always writing checks you don’t wanna cash.
Aizawa's stern eyes locked onto you again, the classroom fell into a tense silence. His gaze was unyielding, and it was clear he was far from pleased with how things had escalated.
“You’ve shown impressive skill, but you need to control your temper better,” he said, his voice cold and precise. “For now, you’ll be serving lunch detention.”
A murmur of surprise and disappointment rippled through the class. Rumi raised an eyebrow but said nothing while Taishiro, who had been observing from the bleachers, gave you a sympathetic look.
“Hey now, I was the one who wanted to test her.”
“Miriko, since you’re so keen to stick up for our new student, you can oversee her detention,” Aizawa said, his tone tired and adamant to get rid of you.
Rumi’s eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. “Sounds good to me! I’ll make sure to keep things educational.” She gave him a mocking salute and you wanted to melt right into the grass.
Aizawa gave a curt nod and left down the trackway. The field, previously tense, now seemed to breathe a sigh of relief as Rumi took charge.
“So, detention it is!” Rumi said cheerfully, walking over to you with a warm smile.
You sighed, your shoulders slumping slightly. “Got it,” you replied, trying to hide your frustration. You glanced around at the curious eyes of your classmates before following Aizawa to the side, where he filled out a detention slip.
As the class resumed their activities, Rumi approached you. You turned to her, curiosity getting the better of you. "Rumi! Why did you do that? I mean, you know I’m trying to lay low." You huffed and threw some weeds at her.
Rumi waved them away and flashed you a mischievous grin. "So we can chat during lunch and it doesn’t look weird! Plus, it’s a great way to swap info without raising any eyebrows."
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t suppress a smile. “You always have a trick up your sleeve.”
She winked at you and gave you a playful nudge. “Just doing my job.”
She dismissed you back to the group as Aizawa began detailing what everyone needed to improve. Denki and Kirishima exchanged glances before approaching you, their expressions a mix of sympathy and admiration.
"Man, it's a bummer you got lunch detention," Denki said, scratching the back of his head. "I thought you did really cool out there."
"Yeah, seriously," Kirishima added, giving you a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "You were awesome. Don't let it get you down."
You offered them a small smile, appreciating their support. The girls soon joined in, their faces reflecting genuine concern.
"It's such a shame you can't eat lunch with us today," Momo said, her brow furrowed. "Aizawa-sensei can be strict, but he's probably just being protective of Mirko-san because of her leg."
"Yeah, he's tough on attitudes," Jirou added, crossing her arms. "But you know he's just looking out for everyone."
You nodded, shaking off the annoyance, "Thanks, guys. I'll be fine."
With that, you headed toward Rumi's office, the hallway echoing with the distant sounds of your classmates chattering. You leaned against the wall, waiting for her to return and unlock the door so you could retrieve your bag. The minutes stretched on, and you found yourself lost in thought.
Ochako and Mina approached, their steps light and filled with concern. "Hey, you okay?" Ochako asked, her eyes scanning your face for any signs of distress.
"Yeah," you replied, giving her a reassuring smile. "My bag's inside. I'll catch up with you guys later."
"Alright," Mina said, her tone cheerful despite the situation. "But let's swap numbers after school, okay?"
You nodded, waving them off as they left. The hallways gradually emptied, leaving you in a peaceful silence. Moments later, the sound of footsteps approached, and you perked up, expecting Rumi.
‘Only.. that’s not her aura and definitely not her firm bouncy steps.’
Instead, Aizawa appeared, keys in hand. Startled, you instinctively grabbed your shoe and lobbed it at him.
He caught it—with his forehead.
"Ow," he muttered, rubbing his brow. A nasty glare was thrown towards your direction. You rushed forward, your face flushed with embarrassment.
"I'm so sorry! But... why are you in the girls' locker room?"
He sighed, closing his eyes momentarily. "Mirko and Fatgum went to lunch, so I have to lock up. I thought you left with the girls. Sorry for not calling out to make sure everyone was out." Aizawa turned to leave but paused to address you. "You need to hurry and change to get to lunch."
"My bag is in Mirko-san's office," you explained, feeling a bit sheepish.
"I was waiting for her to unlock it."
He sighed again, this time with a hint of exasperation, and tossed you the keys. "Be quick."
You caught the keys with one hand and hurried to Mirko's office. You fumbled with the lock, your frustration growing as the door refused to open. This used to be one of the reasons you always had a roommate- you sucked at opening doors traditionally.
If Jason was chasing you, you’d be better off breaking a window than trying to jiggle the lock. Frustrated, you padded back out to the gym, where Aizawa was sitting on the bleachers, his expression unreadable.
You stopped far enough to watch him without his notice. Aizawa’s aura was bleeding into a dark gray and you could smell the norepinephrine he was trying to mask.
‘Is he clinically depressed or just always like this?’
"Um, Teach?" you called out, feeling a bit awkward. "I can't get the door open. Can you help?"
Aizawa’s head snapped up as he turned to look at you, a mixture of defeat and resignation in his eyes, and got up to assist. "Come on, let's get this sorted."
Together, you managed to unlock the door, (he pushed and you kicked) and you quickly grabbed your bag, thanking Aizawa profusely. He quickly left again so you could dress and you wasted no time.
Running through the gym, you caught one last look at him as he unrolled that yellow sleeping bag.
You couldn't help but reflect on the unexpected encounter, grateful for the begrudging help from your strict ‘teacher’ .
As you walk to the cafeteria, the lively hum of student chatter grows louder, mingling with the clatter of trays and the occasional burst of laughter. You grab a tray and start moving down the line, your eyes scanning the array of food options. The comforting smell of freshly baked bread and the enticing aroma of warm soup fills the air.
As you move to the salad bar, you catch sight of Rumi and Taishiro waving you over from a table reserved for the teachers. A smile spreads across your face as you wave back. Glancing over to the section where your classmates are seated, you notice the girls waving enthusiastically, their faces lighting up as they spot you. You wave back at them too, feeling a warm sense of fondness.
Turning around, you suddenly bump into someone, the collision jostling your tray.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" you exclaim, instinctively offering a helping hand to the mop of green hair in front of you.
"Thanks, please don't worry about it!" comes the polite reply, and you realize you're face-to-face with Izuku Midoriya. Your heart skips a beat as you recognize him, and he notices your recognition.
'Shit ,' you think, trying to keep your expression neutral. Izuku rubs his elbow awkwardly, his cheeks flushing a faint pink.
"Oh, uh," he stammers, looking around nervously before leaning in to whisper,
"Do you have a moment to talk?"
You glance around, aware of the curious eyes of nearby students. "Can we talk after class?" you suggest, hoping to defuse the awkwardness.
He nods quickly, relief washing over his features as he hears some friends calling him. "Okay, see you then," he mumbles, picking up his tray and heading towards a table where his friends are seated, their animated conversation continuing as he joins them.
With a sigh, you continue through the lunch line, picking out your meal. You exchange pleasantries with the sweet lunch ladies, one of whom insists you take a piece of fruit. "Here, dear, take an apple. You need your vitamins," she says with a kind smile, placing the shiny fruit on your tray.
"Thank you," you reply warmly, appreciating their kindness. Balancing your tray, you make your way towards Rumi and Taishiro's table. The cafeteria is loud with activity. At one table, Bakugo is gesturing wildly, probably in the middle of an intense discussion, while Kirishima laughs heartily, slapping his knee.
At another, Todoroki is quietly eating, occasionally nodding at something Iida is saying, his hand slicing through the air in an animated gesture as Tsu gesture for him to sit down.
As you approach the teachers' table, you see Rumi and Taishiro deep in conversation, their expressions relaxed. Taishiro looks up and grins widely as he sees you. "Hey there, Sunshine! Over here!"
Rumi gives you a friendly wave, her eyes twinkling. "Come on, miss bad girl!  We've saved you a spot."
You roll your eyes and smile walking over, placing your tray on the table and taking a seat. The noise of the cafeteria fades slightly as you settle in, the warmth of their company making you feel at ease.
Taishi pulled out a bag of chips, setting it down on the small table between you. “I thought I’d drop by and make sure you’re not suffering too much,” he said with a grin. “Plus, it was on sale from the train station.”
You passed him the lunch lady apple while Rumi started distributing the food from her lunch box—sandwiches, fruit cups, and some snacks. You knew better than to note the lack of carrots.
“I brought the usual,” Rumi said, handing you a leafy turkey sandwich. “Nothing fancy, but it should help build those big hero muscles.” You snickered, catching her impeccable side eye as you slid her your miso soup.
“Thanks mommy,” you said, taking the sandwich. “It looks great!”
As you ate, the conversation between you, Rumi, and Taishiro was light and engaging. Taishiro asked about your impressions of homeroom and how you were finding the students, while Rumi chimed in with humorous anecdotes about the dangers of American highschool lunch.
“So, how’s your first day been, really?” Taishiro asked between bites. “Aside from the unexpected detention, of course.”
You can already sense that Rumi has filled Taishiro in on your earlier conversation in her office. Taishiro’s knowing look and gentle smile confirm it. You take a deep breath, ready to share the latest turn of events.
"So, something else happened after our talk," you begin, glancing at Rumi, who nods encouragingly.
"What now?" Taishiro asks, leaning forward with interest, his large frame making the table seem smaller.
You recount the incident in the locker room with Aizawa. "After everyone left, I was waiting by Rumi's office to get my bag. I thought she'd come back to unlock it, but instead, Aizawa showed up."
Rumi's ears perk up, a curious glint in her eye. "Oh, what did he do?"
You can't help but chuckle, remembering the absurdity of the situation. "Well, I didn't realize it was him at first. I panicked and threw my shoe at him." Taishiro bursts into laughter, nearly spilling his drink. "You threw your shoe at Aizawa? That's priceless!"
"Yeah, and he caught it—with his face," you add, shaking your head at the memory. "I felt terrible and rushed to apologize. But then I realized... what was he doing in the girls' locker room?"
Rumi snickers, and Taishiro tries to contain his laughter. "I bet he had a good reason," Taishiro says, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye.
"He did," you confirm. "He explained that you guys went to lunch, so he had to lock up. He thought everyone had left and apologized for not checking first. Then he told me to hurry and change for lunch."
"And did you?" Rumi asks, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
"Not quite. My bag was in your office, and I couldn't open the door. I had to go back out and ask him for help." You pick out the tomatoes in your salad and give them over to Taishi before swiping some dango. “Shoot, forgot about that,” Rumi shakes her head, "Did he help you?"
"He did. He sighed, threw me the keys, and when I couldn't manage it, he helped me open the door."
“Well we all know you can’t open one to save your life.”
“ Hey! ”
Taishiro nods approvingly. "Well, at least you got your bag in the end."
"Yeah, and now I'm here," you say, finishing your story. "Oh, and Mina asked about Nemuri."
You weren’t sure if mentioning the guy's aura now would be good. I mean– no one really seemed surprised with his antics. So, maybe it was just him? But something in the pit of your stomach didn’t believe that.
Rumi raised an eyebrow. "The pink girl, huh? What did she want to know?" She’s drinking the fruit cups like a jello shot as you shoot her a displeased look before she runs her tongue over her teeth. You sigh realizing that she’s just trying to tease you before poking her with a straw.
"She was curious about her condition," you reply. "I think Mina looks up to her. She wanted to know more about Nemuri's health status."
Taishiro leans back, considering this. "Nemuri's got a lot of students asking for her. Maybe we can arrange for Mina to have a visit with her sometime?" He looks up from his squid salad and orange drink. Rumi nods in agreement. "That sounds like a great idea. I'll talk to Mimi’s nurse about it."
"Actually, there's something else," you begin, setting your fork down. "I bumped into Izuku Midoriya in the cafeteria earlier."
Rumi raises an eyebrow, and Taishiro looks up from his meal. "Midoriya? What happened?" Taishiro asks, his interest piqued.
"He seemed really flustered and asked if we could talk later. He looked... I don't know, like he was hiding something. And it's not just him," you continue, your voice lowering as you glance around the bustling cafeteria. "A lot of the kids from Class 2-A seem really tired or like they're sad but trying to hide it."
Rumi takes a bite of her sandwich, chewing thoughtfully before responding. "Kids will be kids. They're probably just fooling around or staying up too late playing video games."
Taishiro, however, seems more concerned. He gestures subtly towards Kirishima, who is sitting a few tables away, now picking at his food with a distant look in his eyes. "See Kirishima over there? I mentor him. He's been acting strange lately, not his usual energetic self." He set down his chips and frowns at the sight.
You nod, appreciating Taishiro's insight. "I think it's more than just fooling around, Rumi. It feels like signs of trauma. They might be dealing with something serious." You pick the crusts off your bread and stuff them in your mouth before Rumi can scold you on wasting food.
Rumi glances around, her skeptical demeanor shifting to one of concern. "You really think so?"
"Yeah," you reply, your voice steady. "The energy in that classroom is way too heavy. I've felt it before. The way they're trying to keep it all inside... it's not healthy." You tear bits of your sandwich off in an attempt to keep your uniform clean.
Taishiro sets down his utensils and nods, his expression serious. "We should discuss this further. Let's head to the teachers' lounge."
You clean up your area ( mama didn’t raise no messy bitch! ) and the three of you slipped out with time to spare before the bell would ring. A few long hallways and some cursing from Rumi later, you made it to the coffee scented door.
As you step into the teachers' lounge, the atmosphere is markedly different from the bustling cafeteria. It's a haven of relative calm, with comfortable chairs, soft lighting, and a few potted plants scattered around. The walls are adorned with various decorations and personal touches that reflect the individuality of each teacher.
Near the entrance, you immediately notice Nemuri’s space. Her corner is unmistakably hers, with a case for her red rimmed glasses, and a small collection of scented candles and essential oils that lend a subtle, calming fragrance to the area. A few provocative magazines and history books are neatly stacked on a side table, along with a plush, velvet armchair in deep purple. Heat rises inside your throat immediately, and you decide to give it a good dusting when you can.
A few steps away, All Might’s space is easy to spot. A large mousepad of his iconic pose, arm raised in triumph, dominates the mouse. His area is tidy and minimalist, with a sturdy chair and a simple desk, but it radiates his larger-than-life presence. A small collection of memorabilia, including photos with students and other heroes, sits on the cubical wall.
Nearby, you see a corner that undoubtedly belongs to the music teacher, Present Mic. The walls are covered with band posters and music notes, and a set of headphones hangs on the back of his chair. A small stack of vinyl records and a portable record player are on the desk, along with a few microphones and a collection of colorful markers for his lesson plans.
Finally, you spot an area with cat-themed decorations, and you can't help but smile. It must belong to a pro with a related quirk. There are various kitty figurines, a cozy-looking throw blanket with paw prints, and a framed photo of someone’s beloved tuxedo cat. The desk is cluttered but organized in its own way, with graded papers and files neatly stacked. A few cups of coffee were scattered behind the monitor, some finished, other’s with a familiar brown ring.
You take a seat in the cat-themed corner, feeling a bit more at ease surrounded by the playful decorations. Taishiro grabs All Might’s chair and sits across from you, his large frame making the seat look almost comically small, while Rumi leans against the table, her legs elegantly crossed and a thoughtful expression on her face.
Taishiro begins, his voice serious. "I think some of the students are suffering from PTSD from the hero war. It's been weighing on them, and it's starting to show." You flashed back to that interview that landed you in hot water with your agency.
Telling the world that you were disappointed in Japan’s top school for heroes in training was not the best look for someone offering to teach there as a promise to an old friend.
You nod, understanding the gravity of the situation. "I know Principal Nezu was trying to find some counselors for the students who helped the pro heroes during the war. It's a lot for them to handle on their own."
Rumi’s expression softens as she recalls, "I met this kid–Bakugou– not long ago. I remember hearing about how his heart exploded on the field. And then there's Endeavor's son—those kids have been through so much."
You almost drop your juice box, your eyes widening in shock. "Todoroki?!" you exclaim, before Rumi quickly shushes you, her eyes darting to the door to make sure no one outside overheard.
She lowers her voice, her expression serious. "Yes, the little peppermint one. But let's keep it down, okay? There's a lot more to that story, and it's not something we should be spreading around."
You nod, trying to process the information. Taishiro adds that he overheard that Recovery Girl was considering retirement after this year.
“She can’t heal what’s wrong with their brains. SO many kids have been sent to her office having panic attacks or for falling asleep in class because they can’t do it at night.”
You lean forward, your expression earnest. "We need to make sure they get the support they need. Talking to Principal Nezu and the other teachers will be crucial."
Rumi nods in agreement, her usual playful demeanor replaced by a determined seriousness. "And we need to be there for them, none of that ‘I’m fine’ bullshit. I’m all for having thick skin but these kids were barely out of middle school when this happened."
Taishiro pipes up, his voice filled with warmth and concern. "Sunshine, I love how much you wanna help these kids. But you're forgetting one thing." His eyes are warm, but there’s a sadness that betrays them.
You look at him, puzzled. "What's that?"
He sighs, his shoulders slumping a little. "These kids won't even talk about what happened." His gaze drops to the floor, clearly upset.
"Kirishima is one of the most dependable, upbeat people I've known. He stands his ground and gives everything his all. I had to send him home early the other day because he could barely keep his eyes open while we were patrolling." He flicks a piece of paper at the floor in frustration.
Rumi frowns, her foot tapping rapidly against the floor. "What are we gonna do then? We can't beat it out of the little brats, and knowing the toxic side of hero culture, they probably think they have to carry this burden." She hopped up on the desk now, her garnet eyes burning.
You suck your juice box dry, the sound of the last bit of juice being drawn up echoing softly. You look at the label in your hand, thinking.
"Knowing some of the teachers and accounting their home lives…damn. I knew this would be complicated, but I really can't walk away from this right now." Your eyes drift over to Nemuri's desk before you stare up at the ceiling.
"She really wants me to help these kids."
Taishiro follows your gaze and nudges your foot with his, offering a small, encouraging smile. "Did she have her own homeroom?"
You shake your head. "Nah, she was an elective teacher. But they were her favorite based on personality alone." You sigh, loosening your uniform tie and unbuttoning your shirt a bit, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on you.
Rumi stops her tapping and looks over at you, concern evident in her eyes. "How are you holding up?"
You stop stastaring at the ceiling to meet her gaze, then glance back at Taishiro before looking up again. "I—"
The door to the lounge swings open, and Aizawa and Present Mic walk in. Mic is enthusiastically discussing starting a podcast with the students, his animated gestures and booming voice filling the room.
You’d never been so happy to hear that loud mouth.
Aizawa, on the other hand, looks like he wants to escape the cacophony. His tired eyes scan the room briefly, giving a nod to Rumi and Taishiro before zeroing in on you. He stops in his tracks, his gaze unwavering.
Mic notices Aizawa's sudden halt and looks over his shoulder. Spotting you, he breaks into a wide smile and waves energetically. "Hey there!"
You giggle and offer him a big smile and wave back, trying to ignore the growing tension in the room. When you glance back at Aizawa, he's still standing there, not saying anything. You wave at him, and he slightly quirks an eyebrow before looking at the desk behind you.
Rumi is the first to break the silence, her tone teasing. "Cat got your tongue?"
Aizawa's eyes narrow slightly. "My desk."
Mic elbows him with a look and Taishiro tries to break the tension with a lighthearted joke. "Well, they do say cats like cozy spots!"
Mic chimes in, his voice a bit more subdued. "Hey, I remember seeing you in the hallways before homeroom. Nice to see you again!" You wanna respond to the literal surround sound but you’re too busy staring down banana man.
Aizawa remarks dryly, "You're in my chair."
Mic shakes his head, chuckling. "Ease up, Aizawa. She probably didn't know."
You stand up quickly, your movement abrupt as you bump your hip against the edge of the desk. "Excuse me, I wasn’t aware." You try to play it off but that freaking desk hit that really soft spot in your hip that made you wanna take a knee.
‘Motherfuc-’
Aizawa sighs, rubbing his red, swollen eyes. "It's fine, you didn't know." He walks over to the coffee machine, picking up a mug. As he fills it, he hands Rumi the same keys from earlier.
"So why did you bring my new problem child to the lounge?" he asks, taking a sip from his mug.
Present Mic has moved to his corner, setting up his record player, the soft hum of vinyl filling the room.
Taishiro clears his throat, about to speak when you give him a subtle signal not to. He looks confused but nods along. Rumi quickly covers for him, her tone casual and light. "Oh, nothing major. Just discussing some classroom management strategies. We don't think ‘Tempest’ here has any issues with temper, just a very eager student, that's all."
Mic's curiosity is piqued. "What happened?" he asks, leaning forward slightly.
Taishiro jumps in, grateful for the distraction. "Oh, we were just talking about the test earlier. You should've seen the energy blasts Sunshine was dishing out. Impressive stuff."
Mic's eyes light up with interest. "Really? That sounds awesome! I'd love to see that in action sometime."
‘Awe, okay his aura is literally joy and concern. Maybe he’s a teacher I could talk to about the kids. Isn’t he the language arts teacher? If anyone could give me some insight on how to communicate with them, he’s probably the best bet.’
Aizawa looks at you with a mix of skepticism and curiosity. "Really ? "
You nod, trying to keep your expression neutral. "Yeah, just excited about the training." You hoped you sounded more convincing than you looked but it was pretty easy to keep up the new kid act so far.
Rumi grins, trying to steer the conversation into safer waters. "Yep, ‘Tempest’ here is a powerhouse. No doubt about it."
Okay now she was just trying to keep you flustered!
Taishiro chuckles, giving you a reassuring pat on the back. "That's right. Our very own ball of energy." You throw him side eye for that dad joke and Taishi just cheeses at you before shrugging. Rumi looks over at him like she’s going to die if she has to listen to another lame pun.
The interaction painfully continues causing you to feel a mix of relief and anxiety. You managed to divert Aizawa's attention for now, but the underlying issues still need to be addressed. For now, though, you're grateful for the support of Rumi and Taishiro.
Mic shifts his attention back to his record player, fiddling with the settings as the soft hum of music fills the room again. Aizawa takes another sip of his coffee, his gaze lingering on you for a moment longer before he turns his attention back to his paperwork.
You take a deep breath, feeling the weight of the situation.
As the conversation winds down, a crackling sound from Nezu’s intercom interrupts the room's calm. “Rumi Usagiyama and Taishiro Toyomitsu, please report to Principal Nezu’s office.”
Rumi perks up at the announcement, her ears twitching slightly. “Well, looks like that’s our cue.” She glances at Taishiro, who’s already pushing himself up from his seat with a soft grunt.
“Guess we better not keep the boss waiting,” Taishiro adds, giving you a reassuring smile as he adjusts his scarf. “You coming?”
Just as you nod, the bell for lunch rings out, signaling the end of the morning classes. The timing couldn't be more convenient. Rumi grins and gestures for you to follow them. “C’mon, we’ll walk you out. Lunch is the perfect excuse to escape whatever paperwork Aizawa has planned for you.”
You can't help but chuckle at that, grateful for the company as the three of you head out of the room. The hallways are bustling with students heading toward the cafeteria, their chatter filling the air. As you part ways with Rumi and Taishi, you give them a quick wave.
“Thanks for walking me out.”
“Anytime,” Rumi says with a wink. “Catch you later, yeah?”
‘Yeah, as if we don’t live together.’
“Stay outta trouble!” Taishiro adds, his deep voice carrying a playful tone as they both head toward the principal’s office.
You turn to head toward your classroom, but the labyrinthine hallways of U.A. start to confuse you. You take a few turns, trying to remember the route, but end up in a quiet corridor, far from where you intended to be.
Sighing, you glance around for any sign of familiar territory, only to bump into something solid—or rather, someone.
Aizawa’s coffee cup tilts precariously in his hand as you collide with him, the dark liquid sloshing over the rim and onto the floor. You freeze, eyes widening in horror. “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry!”
Quickly, you fumble in your pockets and pull out a handful of tissues, offering them to him with an apologetic look. Aizawa glances at the tissues, then at you, before taking them without a word. “Thank you,” he mutters, his voice as monotone as ever.
“No prob, Bob,” you reply with a nervous grin, hoping to lighten the mood.
Aizawa’s brow furrows slightly at the nickname, but he lets it slide. “What are you doing out here? Shouldn’t you be heading back to class?”
“Uh, yeah, about that… I kinda got lost,” you admit, rubbing the back of your neck sheepishly. “This place is like a maze.”
Aizawa sighs, his gaze softening just a fraction as he looks you over. “Why don’t you have a student profile yet? And who’s your assigned buddy?”
You shuffle your feet, feeling a bit on the spot. “I don’t have one yet. And, um, about the buddy thing… Could I maybe be paired with Mina and Izuku? They seemed really kind.”
He raises an eyebrow, clearly curious about your choice. “Why them?”
“They were just… nice to me,” you say, trying to find the right words. “Mina’s really friendly, and Izuku seems like he’d help out anyone who needed it.”
Aizawa considers this for a moment, then nods. “Fine. I’ll make the arrangements. But remember, you need to familiarize yourself with the school layout. Getting lost isn’t an excuse I’ll accept more than once.”
You nod quickly, relieved. “Understood.”
As you both start walking toward your classroom, Aizawa explains in his usual deadpan tone, “I gave you the lunch detention so you could understand that while enthusiasm for your studies is good, you need to be aware of your surroundings and targets. I knew you’d probably feel bad if you hurt Ugasi-san, and that could have led to… complications.”
His words linger in the air, and you glance at him, a bit taken aback by his concern. “You care a lot for a guy who looks like he’s ready to keel over.”
Aizawa snorts softly, a rare hint of amusement flashing in his eyes. “You would too, once you get to know the rest of your class.”
A small smile tugs at your lips as you muster the courage to ask, “Can I ask you something?”
He nods, his attention shifting to you. “Go ahead.”
“Why are you so monotone all the time?”
Aizawa looks slightly taken aback by the question but recovers quickly. “Am I? I never noticed. Well, I guess when you repeat the same shit over and over again, you—” He cuts himself off with a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Sorry for cursing. In all fairness, I expected you to talk more, that’s all.”
“Why’d you expect that?” you ask, genuinely curious. You cross your arms and the jingle of your adornments falls deaf to your ears.
He raises an eyebrow before his eyes drift down to your outfit. You’re in the U.A. uniform, but with a twist—comic book onomatopoeia thigh-highs, doodled-on Converse, a tie swapped out for one in your favorite color, rings and bracelets adorning both arms, and a collection of earrings and necklaces, each holding special meaning.
Aizawa’s gaze lingers on the accessories before returning to your face. “What’s wrong with the way I dress?” you ask, half-defensive, half-joking.
“Nothing,” he replies, though his tone implies otherwise. “Just… not what I expected from a new student.”
You chuckle, shrugging it off. “Guess I’m full of surprises.”
Aizawa merely hums in response, leading you the rest of the way to your classroom in silence. As you reach the door, he pauses, giving you one last, almost unreadable look.
“Don’t get lost again,” he says, the sternness in his voice softened just a bit by the faintest hint of concern.
You nod, giving him a small smile before stepping into the classroom. “Got it. Thanks.”
As you step into the classroom, the lively chatter of students fills the air, but the moment you appear, it abruptly stops. Mina and the girls are the first to rush over, their faces a mix of concern and curiosity.
"What happened?" Mina asks, her voice tinged with worry. Denki and Kirishima aren't far behind, both of them looking equally anxious.
"Yeah, you disappeared at lunch! We thought you got expelled already!" Denki adds, his tone half-joking, half-serious.
You huff, rolling your eyes at the thought. "Chill, guys. I'm not going anywhere," you reply, trying to ease their nerves. But even as you say it, you take a moment to survey the room, your senses honing in on the various auras and energy wavelengths surrounding you.
Mina's energy is vibrant, full of concern but also that ever-present spark of curiosity. She’s eager to know what’s happened but is holding herself back from pressing too hard. Kirishima’s aura is solid and steady, his concern for your well-being mixing with a strong desire to take a fat nap. Denki’s energy is a bit more scattered, a whirl of curiosity and nervousness, likely worrying about whether he could’ve done something to help.
‘Jesus these kids and their teacher need to get some sleep.’
As you let your senses expand further, you pick up on the rest of the class. Some are still buzzing from lunch, their energies tinged with the lightness of camaraderie and laughter. Others seem more subdued, perhaps burdened by the weight of the day's lessons or their own personal thoughts. A few are more withdrawn, their wavelengths hinting at anxiety or exhaustion…
‘And sadness…’
Overall, the class’s energy is a complex mix—some students are thriving in the environment, their auras bright and strong, while others are struggling, their energy dulled or jagged with stress. It’s a lot to take in at once, but you’ve grown accustomed to the ebb and flow of emotions.
"You guys worry too much," you finally say, focusing back on your friends. "But I appreciate it. Really."
Mina gives you a relieved smile, and Denki grins, clearly reassured. "So, what did happen?" he asks, his curiosity getting the better of him.
"Nothing too serious," you reply, brushing it off. "Just had a little chat with the teachers. They wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to accidentally blow up the school or something."
Kirishima laughs, giving you a playful nudge. "If it came down to anyone blowing up the school, my money’s on Bakugou."
Before you can respond, a small eraser sails through the air, striking Kirishima on the forehead with a soft thud. Bakugou, scowling, growls, "Shut it, shitty hair!"
Kirishima rubs his forehead, laughing it off as the class erupts in a mix of laughter and gasps. But before the noise can get out of hand, Iida stands up, his arms chopping through the air in his usual over-the-top manner. "Bakugou! Such behavior is unbecoming of a student at U.A. High! Throwing objects and using foul language—"
"Shove it, Glasses!" Bakugou snaps back, rolling his eyes as he leans back in his chair, clearly not in the mood for one of Iida's lectures.
The tension in the room spikes as Iida looks like he’s about to continue his tirade. You can sense the different energies clashing, the room on the verge of slipping into full chaos. While everyone is distracted by the exchange, you focus inwardly, allowing a gentle wave of calming energy to emanate from your aura. It ripples through the room like a soothing breeze, subtly cooling the heated tempers and easing the building tension.
The effect is almost immediate. Iida’s rigid posture relaxes just a fraction, his hands lowering as he sits back down, muttering something under his breath about maintaining order. Bakugou lets out a huff, but his scowl softens, and he crosses his arms without further comment.
Amidst the newly calm atmosphere, you catch Izuku watching you, his green eyes curious and perhaps a bit intrigued. You wiggle your fingers at him in a playful wave, and he offers you a small, shy smile in return.
Before anything else can happen, Aizawa reenters the classroom, a new mug of coffee in hand. He casts a quick glance around, clearly noting the sudden peace but saying nothing about it. Instead, he moves to the front of the room, and everyone quickly takes their seats, preparing for the lesson.
Just as the lesson is about to begin, Izuku quietly slides his notebook across the desk to you. Curiosity piqued, you open it to find a page filled with notes and sketches, all centered around a mysterious "mall lady" and a Pro Hero named ChargeBomb.
‘I knew he knew!’
Some of the information is missing, and you can tell he’s still piecing together the details, but the sketches of you in action are surprisingly accurate.
A smile tugs at your lips as you admire the drawings. Reaching into your purse, you pull out a sticky note and pen, scribbling a quick, playful response before sliding it back to him. But just as it’s about to reach Izuku, a familiar capture weapon snakes out, intercepting the note mid-slide.
'Shit!'
Aizawa’s scarf pulls the note towards him, and he raises an eyebrow as he reads what you wrote. His expression remains impassive, but you can tell he’s amused by the slight twitch at the corner of his mouth. He looks at you and then at Izuku, clearly unimpressed but too tired to make a big deal out of it.
“See me after class,” he says, his deep voice as monotone as ever, though the note in his hand crumples slightly as he tosses it into the trash.
The class quiets down, and Izuku shoots you an apologetic look, but you just give him a small shrug, silently promising to continue the conversation later. The lesson begins, and you can’t help the feeling of excitement at what the rest of the day might bring.

fanfic where it’s post war and everyone in the hospital, izuku and katsuki were put into two week long comas to help their bodies recover. when both boys awaken their first thoughts are of eachother and both disregard their own health to see the other (like katsuki did after being swiss cheesed by shiggy). both boys keep getting sedated until finally someone wises up and suggests they share a room for their recovery and health. both boys wake up at the same time going through the now very tiresome routine of yanking themselves off their hospital beds to find their lover only for them to make eye contact in their now shared hospital room and collapse in on eachother sobbing. they refuse to part and thus end up having the nurses situate them both so they can share the same bed each falling asleep with their hands on the others heart lulling themselves to the rythmic beat. (Denki and Mina obviously snap hundreds of pics while aizawa wins the bet between mic and all might sighing thankful both his problem children are alive and well and FINALLY letting their love fly freely while kiri cries manly tears and collapses on Mina’s shoulder)
i think i might actually write this out bc it’s been STUCK IN MY BRAIN
if you like this and want me to write a full one shot fic pls tell me 😭

Oh, I could just EAT YOU UP! A Holidays in Hel Loki-Avengers tale.
Tumblr media
I was re-reading this the other day when I should have been getting my new book "Captivated" finished. I'd forgotten how much fun it was writing the Holidays in Hel series... If you're in the mood for some creepy, sexy (not at once, thank god) Loki Halloween tale, look no further.
In which Loki and Mina realize that no holiday is safe from the epic round of truly bad luck that the Avengers have when celebrating the most innocent of times...
***
“You’re expecting me to do what?”
Loki was lounging - elegantly, of course - against a pillar in the huge common room where the Avengers tended to gather when not on missions or getting patched up in the Medbay. He was sartorial perfection in a bespoke Tom Ford suit in onyx. Mina paused from shoveling the candy into one of the massive bowls to smile at him, a little misty with appreciation over his sheer beauty. Her- not her boyfriend, the God of Mischief and Lies could never be called something so ridiculous, her beau? Her partner? Her… Apparently, Loki had been speaking to her because he’d paused, looking at her peevishly.
“Sorry, Loki. I was admiring how unreasonably beautiful you are in that suit, but yeah... just pass out some candy to the trick or treaters? For the media coverage? To make you look... uh... caring?”
Mina said the right thing, of course. The fine lines around his glittering emerald eyes faded away. “Of course you were, darling. This is understandable. I shall repeat myself. You cannot possibly…” He picked up a violently colored package luridly branded as “Unicorn Poop!” pinched between his thumb and forefinger, the way one might hold a dirty diaper. “...Expect me to touch these vile things, much less give them to children?” Loki’s sneer was quite credible, but Mina knew he was posturing. He liked children, though he would rather cut his hair than admit it. He had been shockingly kind to Amelia, Mina’s niece, last New Year’s when her skeevy brother and his wife dumped their daughter in her’s and Loki’s laps and hoofed it to the airport for a Caribbean vacation.
“The candy is hideous,” she admitted, “but this is the crap kids love now, everything is ‘unicorn,’ or ‘poop.’ Or the blissful combination of both.” Loki tossed the lurid sweet back into the pile in the bowl. “Tony got a tractor-trailer full of the stuff from this candymaker he’s doing business with. The man is some sort of real-life Willy Wonka.”
“Hmm,” Loki could even make a humming noise sound deeply disapproving. “Is that the bizarre little gentleman I’ve seen Tony squiring around the tower?"
As if he knew he’d been called, Stark strolled into the room, skirting the cases upon cases of candy piled high around the room. “I gotta admit, Horo, this is enough candy to trick or treat the entire state’s population of kids into a sugar coma.”
The man with him laughed, more of a high-pitched giggle that was startling coming from someone as hugely wide and tall as he was. In fact, his height and weight ended up forming a perfect shape of a square. He was dressed in a top hat and a bright candy-colored suit, with tufts of purplish hair sticking out at angles from his top hat.
“Remember when you watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with me?” Mina murmured to Loki.
“Indeed,” he said, folding his arms, “this creature has managed to take all the most unpleasant elements of Sir Wonka and made them even more troubling.”
“Reindeer Games!” shouted Tony, “Come and meet another magician!”
Mina watched as Loki’s entire form stiffened. “Did he just refer to me as a… a magician?” Loki spat.
“Uh, I think Tony’s already a vodka bottle in for the festivities,” she soothed. “Just ignore him.”
Nonetheless, she pasted on a smile as Tony led the bizarre creature over. Bypassing his host, the man whipped off his top hat, sweeping it low into a courtly bow. “Horatio J. LaDreamy at your service!”
They spent some time sorting through the cases of candy, Horatio holding up each one and exclaiming over its merits like parents with a baby picture. Mina attempted to go through the plan of having Horatio himself pass out the first round of candy for the media coverage. “It’s a really nice thing, if you don’t mind, Mr. ah… Mr. LaDreamy. And the kids will be so excited to meet you.”
“You’re just so scrumptious,” Horatio said, his voice hoarser now, perspiration dotting his upper lip. Leaning in, he held onto Mina’s hand, “I could just eat. You. Up.”
Her revulsion at this freak in his pink-striped shirt and his unfocused, glittering eyes was too great to hide, but his grin only widened as she yanked her hand away. “I have to…” Horatio was still staring at her greedily, and Mina backed away, “...go over… here.”
She speed-walked over to where Loki stood with a look of profound boredom and a very nice glass of Lafite Rothschild 1999. Taking the glass from him, she downed it in one gulp. The tall, beautiful god looked down at her with the same shock and disgust normal people would reserve for murder, or terrible train wrecks.
“You just violated that Lafite,” Loki said with deep disgust, “you just spat on it and threw it into the gutter of your untrained palate.”
“Don’t care,” Mina managed, taking the last bit of liquid in the glass, “I needed it. That man is a freak. A total weirdo.” He merely gave her his long-suffering, “Yes, I know this already” expression. “He just told me,” she said, still looking over Loki’s expensively suited shoulder at Horatio, who was now plying an unamused Natasha with an awkward-looking magic trick involving a deck of cards and a very long scarf he kept pulling from his sleeve, giggling with excitement. “He grabbed my hand and said the weirdest thing, he said, “I could just eat you up.” Loki’s eyes narrowed, and she hastened to clarify, “He wasn’t hitting on me, it was creepier. Like he really was hungry.”
Loki thoughtfully eyed the man, who’d somehow gotten tangled up in the scarf he’d been using for his ‘magic trick.’ “Some of the vilest monsters I have battled were quite benign in appearance. I shall examine this creature more closely.”
But really, what happened next was no one’s fault.
***
“Three cheers for… uh...  the… Candy Guy!” Tony was deep in his cups and Mina was just happy he was still standing, thanks to an occasional nudge from Pepper behind him.
Horatio didn’t seem to mind, smiling benignly down on the happy Stark Tower employees, most of them waist-deep in Unicorn Poop.
“Thank you, Tony, my dear friend!” He spread out his giant arms to the crowd, “And to all of you, thank you for helping me bring joy to the children! They don’t want boring old chocolate bars anymore! They want bright, sparkly candy that will make their mouths tingle and their tummies tap dance with happiness! To be honest, friends, I could not do it without you.”
The crowd chuckled, smiling up at Horatio while slipping fistfuls of candy into backpacks, purses, and bulging pockets.
“No!” Horatio said earnestly. “I really couldn’t! The sweetest and kindest among you will guarantee that the next year’s production of the Unicorn Poop candy line will be bigger and better than ever! More than double this year’s output and keeping up to with demand. I just need one thing from you to make every child in the world hold a package of unicorn poop in their chubby little hands.” He looked directly at Mina and smiled, suddenly showing many, sharp teeth. “I just need you.”
There was a violent pink explosion, cotton candy shooting in all directions and sending a spray of crystalized sugar into the eyes and lungs of everyone in the huge room, coughing and wheezing until everyone could catch their breath.
“Where,” snarled Loki in his most severe, stentorian tone, “is MINA?”
“Wh- I do not see Jane!” protested Thor.
Natasha circled the room rapidly. “Bruce is missing!”
Tony suddenly seemed to sober up. “Hey, has anyone seen Pepper?”
***
“Wh- where the hell are we?” Jane gasped, hanging on to a sagging Shanice from Accounting, whose heaving chest showed she hadn’t weathered the abduction well.
Mina, leaning against a candy-striped pillar for balance, pulled away as she realized the pillar was clinging to her hand like the creepiest possible taffy, as if it was alive, wrapping tendrils of its taffy-esque substance up her arm. “Yuck!” she whined, trying to peel the substance off her new black blouse. “If I had to guess, based on the shittiest series of holidays ever over this last year, that that psycho candymaker from hell has somehow kidnapped us and we’re in his dungeon… factory… purgatory… of candy.”
“Right you are, sweet Mina!” Horatio happily approached the group, not seeming to notice how everyone cringed away from him. “You are all here as my very special guests! As the sweetest, nicest people I’ve met this year, you’ve won the Golden Pass to tour my candy kingdom!”
“A Golden Pass?” Mina tried not to laugh. The situation was too serious, but she couldn’t help herself. Horatio was wearing a top hat that looked suspiciously like the one Willy Wonka wore in the movie. “You mean a Golden Ticket?”
“No,” he answered cheerfully, sampling a flower that appeared to be made of lime green nougat, “a Golden Pass is even better! It’s a super-duper big honor!”
Looking around, Mina tried to find an exit. Please god, she thought, don’t let the Oompa-Loompa ripoffs come out singing and dancing!
Because it was an Avenger’s Holiday From Hel, it was worse.
“Are those…unicorns?” gasped Sun Lee, the sweetest girl in HR, who was always making cookies and bringing them to work.
Everyone turned together and sure enough, a herd of alarmingly cheerful candy-colored unicorns came trotting over to them, making some sort of unicorn-type greeting. Not neighing, exactly. More like a mean-spirited giggle, Mina thought dourly.
“Here are my babies!” Horatio held his arms out, greeting one unicorn after another with a kiss on the lips.
Mina heard a faint “Ewwww…” behind her, it might have come from Maurice in Promotions and Marketing, who was edging away from a unicorn insisting on nuzzling into his neck with the same enthusiasm of a date on Prom Night.
“Uh, they’re really… I didn’t know unicorns actually existed, though based on this past year you’d think I’d be more open-minded,” Mina said, edging away from the cotton-candy pink horn of the equine interloper trying to snuggle up under her arm.
Horatio beamed at her, oozing charm and a weird kind of faux innocence as he nudged another unicorn - this one a swirl of lavender and baby blue - at Mina, bookending her with mystical creatures. “Come, darlings, I’ll take you on a tour of Horatio LaDreamy’s candy factory!”
Mina could see Darcie gearing up to give him the Stern Talking To, and caught her eye, shaking her head. She’d been gripping her emerald pendant like it was Loki’s perfect cock since they’d popped in to this candy-caned striped hellscape. He’d find them and save the day, like always. She just needed to get them all to play along until he showed up.
And when he did? She was going to suck his dick like she was mad at it.

“Here we are,” Loki raged, “in the - as Tony has repeatedly and tiresomely claimed - the most secure building on the planet, and yet once again, my Mina has been abducted. Again!” He was running his hands through his perfect ebony hair, and it unreasonably made it even more full and flowing over his expensively suited shoulders.
“Thanks, Severus Snape, but remember that my fiancée and another twenty Stark employees also got snatched?” Tony was furious and embarrassed, which served to make him even more annoying. He was attempting to drum some discordant rhythm on the granite bar top with spoons, and it was so unbearable that the even-tempered Steve was the one to reach over and snatch the silverware from his jangly hands.
“Everyone calm down!” Steve was at his most stern and Captain-ish and Loki watched cynically as the rest of the - as Mina called them - the Spandex Squad immediately obeyed. His handsome, stern gaze turned to Tony. “Where did you meet Horatio? How is it that no one knows the location of his factory? Everyone needs employees. Can we track him through the IRS? How did he get the kind of tech that could move that many people at once? Loki, is this magic?”
Loki was pacing around the last location of the lunatic candymaker as he disappeared from Stark Tower with his Mina. “I do not recognize the energy signature, but it feels more as seidr than technology. But all seidr… it leaves a trace. I cannot find one here.”
Thor was absently swinging Mjolnir, nearly braining one of the waitstaff trying to clear up the candy carnage. He was desperate to smite someone- anyone at this point. Loki glared at his brother after another close pass from the hammer. “Brother, do contact Heimdal and ask for his assistance.”
“I shall do this immediately!” Thor roared happily, striding masterfully to the elevators.
“A good idea,” approved Natasha.
Loki sneered elegantly. “I contacted Heimdal the moment they all disappeared. He knows nothing. But it will keep my idiot brother occupied while we work.”
Rubbing her forehead, she allowed herself to look vulnerable, just for a moment. “Then how are we going to find them in time?” Looking at him with troubled blue eyes, she said, “I feel like time is ticking down to something. Do you feel it?”
Looking out the window as the sun headed to the horizon, the afternoon light sending them all into sharp focus, Loki fought down an unfamiliar sense of panic. “If one looks to most of the pagan legends, sunsets are often associated with human sacrifice.”
“You don’t-” the blood drained from Natasha’s pale complexion, leaving her sheet-white. She thought of Bruce, his gentle smile and his kind way with those smaller and weaker than himself. “We have to get them out of there.”
“I assure you, my ocharovatel'nyy ubiytsa,” he said grimly, “I am quite in agreement.”

Every holiday, Mina thought as the unicorn prodded her in the back with his horn, every goddamned holiday. Would it really be too much to ask to get Halloween off from the Avenger’s holiday fuckups? My favorite holiday? Her self-pitying thoughts were interrupted as Horatio waved grandly and the massive pink and lavender doors before them began to slowly open.
“You may ask,” he puffed, “how my candy is so sweet? So perfectly formed and flavored? How it can be so addicting?” He beamed at the sullen group behind him. “Meet my secret weapon!”
Mina gulped and she heard a shrill scream from Carla from Banqueting and Events as she passed out. It was another unicorn. A gigantic-ass, monstrous unicorn whose horned head nearly brushed the top of a room the size of an airport hangar. She was violent splashes of aqua, purple, and fuchsia. But her eyes were the blazing red of hell and when she opened her big, horsey mouth, she roared, a thunderous strike that hit the group like a fist, making everyone cringe and cover their ears. There was steam rising from the floor, which was liberally splashed with red and dotted with… bits of something horrible. And popping rapidly out from under her striped tail, were- Mina squinted. “Oh, my god,” she groaned, “is that unicorn poop?”
“An A+ for the pretty lady in the front row!” Horatio said happily, “Yes, this is my sweet angel and the producer of the entire Unicorn Poop line! Glow in the Dark Unicorn Poop, Candy Corn Unicorn Poop, Peppermint Striped Unicorn Poop, and Fudgy Center Unicorn Poop, though that last one isn’t selling the way I thought it would.” His mildly puzzled expression cleared as another giant pile of candy flew from Big Mama Unicorn to be separated and packaged by some listless robots in the bright candy wrappers. “Anyway!” he continued, “So my beloved is such a good girl, producing pile after pile of delicious treats, day after day, 24/7. But a girl’s gotta eat, right?”
“What…” Jane’s expression told Mina she’d already put two and two together, “what do you feed her?”
Horatio’s eyes glowed, “Why, only the sweetest and kindest folks ever! After spending the week at Stark Tower and getting to know everyone, I knew I was picking the sweetest, nicest people there! And it’s perfect timing,” his giggle was alarmingly high-pitched, “because my girl is hungry.”
Big Mama Unicorn let out a terrifying bellow, and all the smaller unicorn guards nickered in agreement as the humans huddled closer together.
Tumblr media
Loki was still pacing the spot where that candy-coated monstrosity had disappeared, taking his Mina and so many others with him. He had some hopes that as one of the captives, Bruce, at least, might still have the capacity to shift into his larger, angrier form. But he could feel the energy behind the seidr the top-hatted lunatic had used to steal Mina and the others. It was demonic. Straightening his tie, he turned to the others. “I shall return.”
“Wha- hey!” Tony turned to the others. “He shall return? What the hell did Mr. Wizard just say? Where is he going?”
Such was the haughtier and gravitas of Loki, Prince of Asgard and Rightful King of Jotunheim that not a demon dared approach him, the hounds of Hel whined nervously and hid under the furniture as he passed, still sleek and perfect in his ebony suit.
“Oh, it’s you.” The woman, clad in an equally dark suit and a sullen expression was lounging on an ostentatious throne, made of the bones of thousands of different creatures.
“Is that any way to greet your dear, dear father?” Loki plucked a bit of something off his impeccable sleeve, flicking the offending bit away in a flash.
If her black eyes had rolled any further back, they’d be wedged against her brain stem. “Let’s dispense with the pleasantries, Loki. What do you want?”
“A bit of conversation, darling.” Hitching his trousers, Loki sat gracefully on a chair made of human bones and sinew. “We’ve a bit of an issue at the Avenger’s Tower with abductions.”
She shrugged, idly poking at one of the cringing shades with the toe of her sharpened steel boot. “And this concerns me how?”
“Hela.”
The one word was spoken in a tone so low that the granite foundations of the Queen of Hel’s throne shifted slightly.
Leaning forward, Loki’s eyes flashed a searing green-gold. “Do not feign innocence with me. That vile candymaker could not have managed this level of power as a mere mortal. What was your bargain?”
Hela sniffed, tossing her long black hair over one shoulder in a flounce clearly inherited from her sire. “Oh. That irritating little man was constantly bleating about his unicorns and how they got… what was the word? Oh, ‘hangry,’ and he needed the power to move large groups of people to the factory to feed them, and-”
“What did you say?” Loki shot out of his chair, face even paler, “Feed mortals to... his unicorns?”
Hela shrugged, “His tiresome obsession with those silly creatures… though the monstrous procreator is quite ferocious. She would be an excellent addition to my Helhounds.” She chuckled heartlessly. “Perhaps I shall take her, along with his pathetic soul when it is due.”
In an instant, her furious sire was leaning over her, so close that her throne tipped back. “If a single hair is disturbed upon my Mina’s head, I shall tie you to the hack of one of your beloved Helhounds, and create a seidr that will force him to run through your pits of flaming tar and leave you upside down beneath the surface of one of them. For your continued good health, I do hope no harm comes to those abducted from the Tower.”
For once, his daughter didn’t have a scathing retort.
***
It was hard to come up with a plan, what with all the screaming, Mina thought, dazed and jostling to keep her co-workers away from that giant fucking unicorn from Hel. I mean, it really does look like Loki’s daughter spawned it, she thought a little spitefully.
She stilled for a moment, ignoring the prodding from the unicorn’s pointy horn wedging just under her right shoulder and shoving hard enough to leave a crater in her back. “That’s it!” Mina gasped. Elbowing past her pink and blue guard, she shouted, “Hey, Horatio! You’re wrong! You think we’re the sweetest people in the building?”
The candymaker was busy trying to shove Mario from Accounting closer to the gaping maw of Mama Unicorn. Horatio looked over his polka-dotted shoulder red-faced and petulant. “You just hold right there, little miss! It’ll be your turn in a minute!”
“I’m not sweet!” Mina tried to pitch her voice higher than Mario’s screaming, but it was close. “I have a mouth like a sailor, you asshole! I really didn’t like Aama here-” she pulled over her startled co-worker in the Developmental Science Division, “because she’d always steal the good lab coats and I’d end up with one of the acid-stained ones. I ‘forgot’ to invite her to one of the employee lunches-”
“Hey! Really?” Aama said, looking deeply wounded.
“Sorry, Aama,” Mina said, patting her back absently. “Anyway, I am not sweet! Also, if you saw the kinky stuff Loki and I get into? I’m gonna give that lavender pony from Hel heartburn!”
“I knew you two were into some weird shit!” gloated Darcy.
“Oh, please!” Mina retorted, “You wrote the book- hell, you wrote an entire Wikipedia on kink!”
Her eyes widened pleadingly, and Darcy caught on. “Oh, yes I did! One guy, two guys… once there was a wheel of cheese in the room and a duck, and…”
Even Mario had stopped screaming to hear this.
“Also,” Darcy continued defiantly, “I - I shoplifted some peanut butter and cigarettes from the bodega down the street because I forgot my purse…” She’d come back the next day with a batch of cookies, an apology and the money, of course. Also, the son’s owner really liked her and had given her the peanut butter and the pack of extra-long menthols, but that didn’t help the story. “I’ve drugged Jane’s sandwich before! More than once!”
“You did?” Jane gasped, “You’re- why? Why did you do that?”
Her best friend sputtered a bit, she’d done it to force Jane to get some sleep after working in the lab for three days straight. “Uh… because I’m jealous of you and I’m… uh… stealing all your research! Yeah!”
Jane was bug-eyed with shock for a moment before she recognized Darcy’s wildly twitching eye was a wink and not a muscle tic brought on by sheer terror. “I don’t care, Darcy! Because… because… I’ve been selling it to HYDRA! So there! And I cheated on my taxes! Three times!”
“I stole my roommate's boyfriend!” chimed in Sun Lee, though they’d been broken up for over a year and her roommate didn’t even care, but… she had to top the HYDRA whopper and distract the crazy candymaker while everyone caught on. “And I pulled the last shopping cart in the queue away from an old man who was trying to put his oxygen tank in it!”
Even Mama Unicorn had stopped that endless bellowing, watching with a wrinkled muzzle as the weird confessions got wilder and more offensive as each of the desperate prisoners started chiming in.
“I stole my mother’s wedding ring!”
“I cheated my way through college!”
“My family disowned me after I burned my grandparent’s house down!”
“I- I- I ATE A BABY!”
They all turned - even Horatio and Mama Unicorn - to stare at Kevin from Ground Security, who was not a super inventive guy. “Too much?” he asked humbly, wringing his hands. “But anyway,” he continued, “I’m gonna give that lavender bitch food poisoning, so HAVE AT IT YOU CANNIBALISTIC FREAK!”
“There’s no reason to be rude,” Horatio said repressively, “and you’re upsetting my sweet mama here, her nerves are delicate!”
“We’re going to make you puke cotton candy for a week, you one-horned psycho!” Mina shouted above the others, “You are gonna suffer, lady! And- and- and-” She smiled evilly, “Mr. LaDreamy, your candy tastes like ass. And now we know why. Your Unicorn Poop really is complete and utter shit.”
“Shit! Your candy is shit!”
“Everyone’s laughing at you and your weird turquoise friend!”
“Your candy sucks!”
“Halloween’s going to be canceled if this crap gets out because Manhattan will be covered in kid vomit!”
“That’s ENOUGH!” screamed Horatio, his purple hair sticking out in tufts. “You’re trying to distract me from our sacred purpose here, putting a smile on EVERY CHILD’S FACE AND I WILL NOT HAVE YOU-” He broke off, face almost as purple as his hair and wheezing.
And Pepper delivered the killing blow. “Mr. LaDreamy, I intend to file suit with the FDA regarding your use of hazardous materials and a deeply, deeply unsanitary workspace. I hope your mama… thing there has other talents because she will be paying for your fines into the next century. I am very vindictive,” she added with a dark smile, “and I love making little men like you twist on the hook like a gutted trout.”
Everyone stirred uneasily. This was essentially accurate.
There was an ominous, low rumbling and it seemed like the blood-soaked factory walls were closing in on them. Horatio chuckled, a mean little gurgle that sounded like a truly beastly child’s. “Hush, now. Since you’re not nice, sweet people at all, since you lied to me- Well, there’s only one thing to do.”
Mina stumbled slightly, was that rumbling getting louder? It felt like the pink and red striped factory floor was shifting under her feet.
“I’d planned on waiting until the new year to debut my latest line of sweets....” He smoothed down his ratted fringe of hair and put his top hat back on. “But it’s time, thanks to you-” he said spitefully at Mina, “to introduce my new brand, Devil’s Food Delights.”
There was a bellow. A howl. The combined sound of a million souls suffering and the sound rose and shook the rafters as something burst through the floor.
“Aw, goddamnit,” sighed Mina.
***
“Can’t this thing go any faster?” groaned Bucky, who was hovering over Loki’s shoulder in a truly provoking way, nudging him absently with his vibranium arm and making him yearn to send his own godly elbow into the Soldier’s face. The pleasant thought distracted Loki for a moment and the seidr shimmered ominously.
“If you don’t take yourself to the back of the jet and stay there,” he snarled, “the seidr will collapse and we must begin again.” He studied the aggressively pink cotton candy tone of his spell. “Due north.”

The Stark employees clutched at each other, trying to keep from toppling into the pit now spreading on the factory floor, an ominous red glow glaring out from the hole. The screaming started up again as a massive spider placed all eight of its horrible, clawed appendages on to the crumbled concrete and hefted its pulsating, plump black carapace out of the pit. All eight of its beady crimson eyes were focused on Mina, who found herself shoved in front of Dante from Armaments and Darcy, who’d started hurling packages of Unicorn Poop at the monstrous thing. This was, unfortunately, the thing that turned its attention to their little huddle and it began scampering over the ruined ground toward them.
Their rescue came - by cynical fate - from Mama Unicorn, who was not happy about her potential dinner being taken away. With another rafter-rattling roar, she hauled her huge pink and blue bulk from her corner, stomping toward Horatio’s latest creation, which reared back with a shrill, chittering sound. From the back of the spider came shooting smeared charcoal and fuchsia eggs. “They’re wrapped in licorice-flavored cotton candy!” Horatio screamed over the angry whining from the smaller unicorns. “With a surprise inside!” he cackled as one of the bundles writhed and broke open, a teal-colored arachnid pulling free from its spun sugar cocoon.
A blast shook the factory as one of the outside walls exploded, various Avengers pouring through the dust to the rescue. Spinning two wickedly sharp blades, Loki turned in a circle, looking for Mina. He found her - of course - standing in front of a group of cowering office personnel and looking rather nauseated.
“Darling!” Loki was on her in an instant, cradling her face. “You’re not hurt? Whose blood is this?”
“Uh… I’m not sure, but I don’t think it’s mine.” It’s not that Mina was not extremely happy to see her princely suitor, but she could not take her eyes off the supernatural train wreck happening right in front of her.
Steve was turning right, then left, trying to figure out who to throw his shield at. Wanda was rearing back, trying to pull away her scarlet pulse emanating from her hands, while repeating “Ew! Ew! Ew ew ew ew ewewewewe!” Bucky had Darcy slung over one broad shoulder and was pointing an extremely large gun at random angry unicorns.
Tony’s mask came up on his suit and his angry brown eyes scanned the melee. “Who should I shoot? I mean, what the hell…”
Really, it was a toss-up. Mama Unicorn and Big Ugly Scary Spider Thing were tearing at each other- oozing lime-green blood and chunks of both being tossed into the air during the battle. Horatio was screaming at them, “Stop it! You will get along, do you HEAR ME?” But it was clear those two were having none of that nonsense.
Ducking a flying bit of Big Ugly Scary Spider Thing, Loki turned to find Mina gone. She was writhing like an infuriated eel, trying to escape the surprisingly strong grip of Horatio J. LaDreamy, infamous candymaker and a man currently Losing His Shit.
“This could have been so simple!” he howled, “Your sacrifice would have meant the happiness of children all over the world! But no…” Horatio hissed the word, gripping Mina’s neck tightly and putting something to her throat, something scary enough that she stiffened. His maddened orange eyes met Loki’s. “But there’s always a backup plan!” He was chuckling, but it sounded more like gargling with a mouthful of tar. “You know the significance of the setting sun, don’t you, you insufferable Asgardian?”
Mina corrected from habit, “Oh, Loki is actually both Jotunn and Asgardian.”
“Shut UP!” Horatio screamed into her ear, “I will have my candy empire and if I can’t feed you to Mama Unicorn I will still close the deal with my dark mistress with a sacrifice in her honor. Ah, ah!” He pushed the thing - which turned out to be the tip of the currently disemboweled Mama Unicorn’s horn harder into Mina’s neck. “You’ll stand back, Mr. Friggasson!”
Loki’s hands gripped his knife handles, knuckles white with fury. If that candy-striped lunatic stabbed Mina with that cursed unicorn horn it was over. He knew there was no seidr that could reverse the effects of such a weapon. But with a casual flick of his fingers to the right, he very carefully began circling the two. “You don’t need Mina. Not when you have a god to offer himself in exchange. Come, now. Take the horn away from her neck. I shall drop my knives and surrender to you.”
Oh, Horatio liked that idea, he could tell from the creature’s excitable little wiggle. Mina was silently shaking her head, but Loki’s gaze darted right and back again. She tilted her head, nodding. And to the backdrop of the dying screams of Mama Unicorn and Big Ugly Scary Spider Thing, the candymaker began to rage about the unfairness of life. The excellent quality of his candy. His visionary status. And how cruel it was that Loki’s hair was more luxuriant and silky than his. But the time he’d started on how boring Loki’s ebony suit was next to his magnificently colored ensemble, the irritable god had thrust forward with three fingers and a crisp command: “forsvinn!”
Mina ducked. Horatio stumbled backward and fell on his ass in a rapidly spreading pool of taffy in violent shades of red and yellow. The tipped cauldron rolled back and forth in the corner. “Do not touch it!” commanded Loki as the other Avengers stepped closer, “You will never get free.” Indeed, the candymaker was on his back, kicking and squalling like an overturned beetle as the taffy spread around him in a viscous flood.
Loki straightened his tie and put an arm around Mina as she handed him the unicorn horn. “So the guys have rounded up all our co-workers and they’re ready to get out of this candy-coated hellhole. But what do we do about the baby spiders and the leftover unicorns and him?” She nodded at Horatio, who looked he might actually be dissolving into his own creation of corn syrup and evil.
Pressing a tender kiss to her temple, Loki smiled unpleasantly. “It shall all… be taken care of. Come along, darling. I shall bathe away that disgusting scent of unicorns and perspiration from you.”
The lit-up monolith of Stark Tower had just appeared in the quinjet’s windshield when Mina stiffened. “Oh, crap! What about all of the kids coming tonight to trick or treat? We can’t give them the unicorn shit.”
Natasha was flying the aircraft, but she looked behind her with a raised brow. “Do you mean the Unicorn Poop candy?”
“No,” said Loki and Mina together, and she heaved a bit. “It’s actual shit, Natasha. Unicorn shit. Big Mama Unicorn was pooping it out. Piles and piles of-” Putting her hand over her mouth, Mina turned away.

“Here at Stark Industries,” Pepper said smoothly, to the reporters clustered around the first group of costumed toddlers, “we’ve been concerned about good nutrition and the amount of sugar the average child consumes every year. So we decided to set a new precedent this Halloween by giving out toys instead.”
Steve and Bucky were tearing open boxes of Avenger’s action figures, stuffies, promotional t-shirts, and more that had been hastily pulled from the merchandise warehouse. Darcy and Jane were happily handing them out to the stream of children.
“Thank you so much,” recited a five-year-old fairy princess, she looked down at the Iron Man figure she’d been handed. “Could I have a Loki doll instead?”
Tony yanked the doll away from her. “Here’s a towel, kid. Keep moving.”
***
“Where are we?” Mina gasped as Loki pulled off her blindfold. They were on a platform in a massive tree in the middle of a field, dotted with the last of the season’s pumpkins and filled with fireflies, lighting the branches and crisp red and orange leaves with a surreal glow. The platform held a huge mattress with many plump pillows and silky throws and blankets. A low table ran alongside the bed, piled high with bottles of wine and tempting platters of meats and cheeses, fruit, fresh-baked rolls. “And no sugar,” she sighed gratefully. She felt her skin tingle as he ran his fingers down her side and gasped as she looked at the delicate lace and silk concoction he’d “poofed” on to her. It was long, with a high slit in the skirt and a shamelessly low neckline.
“Spin for me, darling.” Loki made a twirling motion with one long finger and enjoyed the sight of his Mina happily spinning in her new dress. It flared out around her ankles and the twinkling light of the fireflies shone through the sheer fabric over the taut line of her thigh, the softness of her luscious bottom. Oh, how he loved her pert behind.
When she spun around again, Mina found Loki reclining elegantly on the bed, sipping a glass of wine and holding one out for her. “Come, darling. The dance is about to begin.”
“What dance?” she asked, gathering up her long skirt to make the awkward crawl across the slippery expanse of the cushions to relax against his long, cool body. Loki nodded to the edges of the field and Mina gasped.
Women, clad in black, walked from the cover of the surrounding forest to meet in the center around the tree. A bonfire surged up, lighting their serene faces as they began their song, moving around each other in a complex web.
“Um, are we allowed to be here?” Mina whispered, terribly excited but a little nervous. She knew what this was- Samhain. Which meant they were in Ireland, which meant this was one of the most secretive and powerful of the ancient pagan clans. The women dancing ignored them and their luxurious platform, but it was clear she and Loki had been given a nearly unheard-of opportunity.
“Shhhh…” he murmured, and she settled back.
Following the complex braid of movement was so fascinating that it took Mina a bit to realize that there were new dancers in the circle- shadowy forms that danced in and out of the circle made by their living sisters. “Oh... “ she gasped. The living and the dead twined back and forth as their song grew louder, almost a chant and suddenly the fire was burning hotter or something because she felt like every part of her was wildly overheated. She needed something to cool her, and- “Thank you Loki,” Mina moaned happily as he pulled her to her knees, resting that bottom of hers that he’d praised so often on her heels. Kneeling behind her, he pressed his broad chest and a very promising, prominent bulge against the small of her back. The chill radiating from him just made her skin prickle more desperately. She needed him! Why won’t he help her?
“Patience,” Loki soothed, “watch the ceremony, sweet one.”
Mina blinked hard. The swirl of color and sound vibrated through her skin and settled into the base of her spine, spreading through her and making her gasp, pushing back against his hard, cool chest. Dimly, she felt his cool fingers spread her thighs, circling lightly around her wet furrow, the rough pads of his fingertips sliding back and forth, back and forth in a lazy way that made her half-insane as he circled her entrance, dipped lightly inside and moved back to lightly bat her clitoris. Finally, finally, he lifted her, the tip of his cock slick and wet from her.
“Put your arms behind my neck,” he urged, giving her shoulder a quick, sharp bite, enough to startle her into obeying him. The position made her arch her back, breasts thrust out as she strained to watch the movement of the dancing circle. Still, the women below seemed to ignore them as they continued their delicate dance between this world and the next. The heavy weight of Loki’s cock sliding into her made her clench down, enjoying his groan as it slowed his movements through her. It burned and stung a bit, just as it always did when Loki fucked her, but Mina relished it, craved it as part of the feeling of this god deeply embedded inside her. But the feel of cool lips suckling her clitoris made her let out a startled screech.
“Easy, darling,” purred Loki, lounging gracefully before her, examining himself buried inside her with interest. “I so rarely get to enjoy this lovely view as I take you. So sweet.” His diabolical tongue tickled her again, then lightly nipped one of her swollen lips. “Such a perfect, dark treat. And displayed so perfectly.” From behind her, Loki’s hands began toying with her breasts, pinching her nipples and pulling gently as the Loki below returned to his efforts, suckling her wet center, tongue stroking and fluttering along his cock sliding in and out of her channel.
The sheer outrageousness of it - the intensity of two Lokis toying with her was too much and Mina’s head flew back, hitting his shoulder as she came.
Trying to focus as the Loki below doubled down with chilly lips and teeth while seizing her bottom and moving her faster on his clone’s cock, she watched the night sky split, silver light streaming through and coalescing into shapes and shades of the Otherworldly.
“I have missed the play of nug-a-nug…” whispered one.
“Fadoodling they are, and so nicely…” sighed another.
“That’s putting the devil into hell!” shouted one of the more substantial spirits, and they all laughed in agreement, drifting lightly around the three joined together so closely that even the spectres could not see where one began or the other ended. But all the circling souls shuddered and sighed as the Lokis and Mina came together, glowing brighter and holding form for one perfect moment before fading into whisps again.
When Mina came back to some general form of awareness, she was wrapped in a velvety soft blanket, held in Loki’s arms as the other Loki waved down to the witches, still casually nude.
“Thank you for feeding our sisters!” called up the High Priestess. “To have them back with us again… our circle is complete. Farewell then.” She gave a sly wink to Mina. “And perhaps we’ll be seeing you again next year.”
Loki chuckled behind her, squeezing her gently. “There are so many haunts to explore,” he whispered in her ear, “enough for a thousand All Hallow’s Eves.”
Kissing his chiseled jaw, she said with deep satisfaction, “And no more creepy man-eating unicorns.”

Horatio J. LaDreamy sat in the smoking ruins of his factory, Big Ugly Scary Spider Thing and Big Mama Unicorn had torn each other to pieces and the resulting scuttle of remaining spider offspring being devoured by the few surviving unicorns. The acrid scent of burnt sugar stung his nose along with the strawberries and cream scent of unicorn blood covering his candy-striped suit.
“How could this happen?” Horatio said peevishly.
“Because, you vile little man, you deserved it.” The smooth, cultured tone made him freeze in horror, and measured footsteps circled from behind him. Hela was strolling through the wreckage, hands on leather-clad hips. “How did you manage such a catastrophic failure in such a short time?” she mused, kicking at a severed unicorn hoof. “I did expect you back in my realm sooner than later, but even for you, this is simply pitiful.” Her elegant nose wrinkled a bit as she eyed his quivering form.
“B- b- but my beautiful unicorns!” Horatio wailed, “And my Devil’s Food darling and Mama Unicorn eating each other instead of those silly people! Hela, oh Dark Mistress, please-”
“None of that, mortal. Come along now.”
Horatio J. LaDreamy was a creature designed to strike terror into the hearts of the unwary, and a monstrous wave of empathy for the innocents he’d victimized slammed into him like a tsunami as Hela’s elegant hand rose, then clenched into a fist, tearing his soul from his body - leaving a withered, desiccated husk that collapsed into a pile of pink and purple dust.
***
Darcy lay on her back, panting and staring at the ceiling. “Holy shit, Bucky,” she wheezed, “if I knew getting kidnapped would turn you on like that I’d have done it sooner! I think I had an out-of-body experience on that fifth orgasm…”
She turned her head to look at him, he had his metal hand resting on his chest, still heaving from exertion.
“You know you’re some kind of sex demon with that tongue of yours,” she teased.
Bucky gave her a smile. Just a little one, a slight curve of those full lips that for him was the equivalent of tearing off his shirt and strutting around the tower singing “I’m The Man.” Then his head lifted abruptly, looking sharply in one direction, then the other.
“What’s that?”
“What’s what?” hedged Darcy, trying to yank her undies up her thighs.
His blue eyes narrowed. “I heard something. Like a neighing sound- “ He was across the room before she could blink, ripping the closet door off its hinges.
“YOU BROUGHT ONE OF THOSE ASSHOLES BACK HERE?”
A little mauve and aqua-speckled unicorn cowered behind a stack of winter sweaters, whinnying in fear as Bucky towered over it.
“Stop it, you’re scaring him!” Putting her arms around the petite creature’s neck, Darcy looked up at him, her big, big, brown eyes tearing up a little.
He looked between the unicorn and his girlfriend. “Darce- honey are you insane? Are you remembering what these little bastards were going to do to you? Why would you do this!”
Sniffling prettily, she hugged the unicorn tighter. “Maurice didn’t do it! It was the big ones herding us to Mama Unicorn, he was-”
“You NAMED it?” he paced back and forth, pulling at his hair and absently wishing he hadn’t cut it so short. “We can’t keep a- wait, what is this? A mystical or mythical, or-”
“Arcane?” she offered helpfully.
“Enchanted?” He paced some more, watching the tiny creature burrow into Darcy’s generous bosom. Sighing, he sat down on the bed. “You can keep it for tonight. Tomorrow, you have to take it-”
“It’s not an it, it’s a Maurice!”
“You’re taking Maurice to Banner for a full examination.”
Throwing herself onto him, Darcy chirped, “Okay. Thank you, baby! You’re the best…” She proceeded to show Bucky just how much she appreciated him, and their moans were so loud that even his keen Soldier’s hearing didn’t catch the vicious little chuckle from the closet.

I’ll Pass
Midoriya was a gem at UA High. No one really knew anything about the mysterious beauty that was best friends with Hatsume in the support department. Still, that never stopped people from blindly pursuing the teen. People were so ashamed when Midoriya rejected them that no one ever told their friends when they planned on confessing.
Countless people have been spotted slipping notes and talking with Midoriya in a quiet area. For some reason, it’s like an unspoken rule that being rejected by Midoriya is so humiliating that if anyone knew about it, it could send a person into a coma.
Class 1-A eventually caught drift of the mysterious beauty who was in the support department. Fortunately for them, they were given an opportunity to approach him without looking too weird. Aizawa, too lazy to deal with it himself, told his students to head to the department to discuss any modifications they needed for their hero costumes. For once, none of the students complained about his laziness.
“Oh, I’m so excited,” beamed Uraraka, happy to finally meet the boy who has the attention of the school.
“Me too. I think this will be a wonderful experience to get closer to the support department,” agreed Iida, unaware Uraraka was talking about meeting Midoriya.
Kirishima waved his hand with a smile. “I just want to meet this dude everyone seems to have a crush on!”
“Agreed dude! I feel like everyone in this school has tried to shoot their shot at Midoriya!” supported Kaminari, throwing his arms to the sky.
Mina looked over at Kirishima and Kaminari with an excited grin. “I bet he’s super sweet! That would explain why I haven’t heard anything bad about him!”
Uraraka nodded vigorously, clasping her hands behind her back. “It would be great to make another friend. I just hope he doesn’t blow us up like Hatsume does,” shivered Uraraka at all the memories of Hatsume’s gadgets exploding when she was around.
Bakugo rolled his eyes at his classmates. At the end of the day, they were a bunch of overly friendly idiots. Still, he was a bit curious to see Midoriya. Since he started UA High, he’d constantly heard about Midoriya, but never saw him
A part of Bakugo was left wondering how Midoriya felt. It must have been a jarring experience to go from being the laughingstock of Aldera Junior High to being the unachievable jewel of UA High. He knew that if he had been in Midoriya’s shoes, he’d kill anyone who asked him out. They were here to become heroes, not worry about pointless things like dating.
Taking the lead, Iida walked into the room. Hatsume happened to have a crush on Iida, so he was the best person to enter first. It seemed that Uraraka had already sacrificed Iida even if he hadn’t been willing.
“Iida!” cheered Hatsume, rushing over.
“Hello, Hatsume. I’m assuming Eraserhead has told you about us coming,” greeted Iida, bowing his head as he stepped in to let his classmates also enter.
Hatsume nodded with a bright grin. “Yeah, I got all hands on deck for class 1-A.”
Midoriya made his way over with a clipboard to where the class was waiting. “Mei, I finished up the blueprints to match your detailing.”
Hatsume grabbed the clipboard eagerly, flipping the pages. “Amazing work Izuku!” Seeming to realize that Midoriya hadn’t really interacted with the hero students in person, she started introductions. “Iida, have you met Midoriya yet?”
Iida was stunned, staring at Midoriya. He completely understood why everyone asked him out. Midoriya was gorgeous despite being arguably plain.
Short, but fluffy green curls with a mixture of black covered his head. His bangs were short and he had strips of hair by his cheeks that curled oh so perfectly. His eyelashes were long and helped shape his big round eyes. His cheeks were coated in freckles with four dark ones in the middle of both cheeks.
“No, I haven’t. It’s a pleasure to meet you Midoriya. I appreciate you putting up with us all year,” thanked Iida, bowing his head to show utmost respect. After all, the only reason they could be heroes is because of those in the support department.
Midoriya smiled charmingly at Iida before waving his hand. “No need to thank me. You hero students deserve the best gear so it’s our fault if it can’t handle the amount of work you’re required to put in.”
Iida grinned, feeling a bit relieved to hear they weren’t being blamed for damaging their gear. They were often reprimanded by their teachers for being reckless even though damage to their costumes should be expected. Nonetheless, Iida commented, “I never thought of it that way.”
“Well, start thinking of it that way now! It’s wonderful meeting you, Iida. I hope you see you around here more often,” chuckled Midoriya, happy to meet someone who wasn’t just interested in dating him. Besides, it was clear he liked Hatsume so he had nothing to worry about.
After introductions were carried out, Kirishima and Bakugo were assigned to Midoriya to gear repairs and upgrades. Uraraka and Mina shook their fist to the sky and cursed Kirishima and Bakugo. How come the good things in life never happened to them?
As Midoriya guided them to his workstation, they finally were able to get a good look at Midoriya. To the surprise of both Bakugo and Kirishima, Midoriya was muscular.
They assumed he was matching Hatume as he was wearing a black tank top. It showed off his developed arms and the outline of his abs could be seen because of the tight fabric. Anything lower was hidden by the baggy uniform. Midoriya had an All Might charm clipped onto one of the belt loops on his waist.
A pretty, red headband was tied loosely around Midoriya’s neck. Bakugo assumed it was to cover his nose and mouth when messing with the equipment. Kirishima on the other hand believed it was purely cosmetic. Midoriya seemed like the type of person to want to work in style.
Wanting to break the ice, Kirishima decided to use the only piece of information he knew about Midoriya. “Is it true you get asked out at least once a day?”
Not missing a beat, Midoriya smiled as he answered, “Not really, no,” as he pulled out his files on class 1-A’s hero suits.
“Wait, guys don’t ask you out?” asked Kirishima with wide eyes, feeling a bit betrayed by everyone who told him about the rumor. It wasn’t that he thought Midoriya was a disappointment after being told he wasn’t heavily sought after, but it seemed that everyone was in on a joke Midoriya wasn’t a part of.
A couple of seconds of painful silence passed. Midoriya licked his finger to begin flipping through the pages before smirking. Slowly raising his head to look at Kirishima, Midoriya clarified, “They do, I just don’t go.
The way those words effortlessly came out of Midoriya’s mouth with such confidence was perfect. Kirishima felt his face heat up and he quickly covered his face with both hands. “You are way too cool.”
While Kirishima was having the time of his life, Bakugo was watching in silence. It was nice to watch Midoriya being his true self without having to worry about being ridiculed. Besides, this was Midoriya’s territory and Bakugo refused to make the same mistake as he did in the past.
Choosing to keep his head down and mouth shut, Bakugo hoped Midoriya would continue to talk casually with Kirishima. He took it upon himself to distance himself from Midoriya, not wanting to bother him any more than he most likely already was.
“Thank you,” chuckled Midoriya as he found the sections about Bakugo and Kirishima in his files. What Midoriya was not about to tell the duo was that he’d already had this conversation a dozen times with all the people who tried flirting with him.
It was quiet for a moment. Kirishima was curious about who Midoriya was as a person, and it seemed that he had one question that would help him know what Midoriya valued. “Is there a reason why you haven’t accepted anyone's confession?”
Midoriya shrugged, putting the book down to look at Kirishima. “Not really. At first, I just wasn’t interested in the people that confessed and I wasn’t ready for a relationship. Now… I can’t trust that the person confessing wants to be with me or if they just want to see if they’ll be the lucky one who is picked.”
Sorrow overcame Kirishima, and he could not stop the frown from spreading on his face. He didn’t realize just how much this situation sucked for Midoriya. It never crossed his mind how Midoriya couldn’t trust that anyone truly loved him because asking out the mysterious support student became a trend.
“That sucks dude,” sighed Kirishima, rubbing his face.
Bakugo rolled his eyes. “Of course, all those stupid extras think it’s funny to play with someone’s feelings.”
“For real! It’s a shame,” agreed Kirishima, not noticing how Midoriya’s head shot up in Bakugo’s direction.
“You really shouldn’t call everyone extras, Kacchan. It leaves a bad impression,” teased Midoriya as he focused all his attention on Bakugo.
“Fuck that shit. I swear this entire school has always been testing our class’s patience, so I have no sympathy to spare. Now they’re treating you as a trophy which is fucking gross,” hissed Bakugo, crossing his arms as he let his overprotective side show shamelessly.
Midoriya let his smug grin slowly soften into a shy smile. He enjoyed having people stand up for him. While he enjoys the attention it brings him, he wishes the attention wasn’t simply objectifying him. He was more than a pretty face and a thing to win.
Kirishima’s jaw dropped. “Bakugo? You know Midoriya?”
Bakugo looked away from Midoriya and scoffed, “I’ve known this nerd since we were little brats.”
“Yeah, we just fell out of touch in middle school,” recalled Midoriya, trying to keep Bakugo from being a target of unwanted attention.
“That’s awesome! If you’ve survived knowing Bakugo this long, feel free to hang out with our class!” cheered Kirishima, ignoring the hissing of Bakugo’s quirk.
Midoriya was glowing as he accepted the offer. “That would be amazing! You all were awesome at the Sports Festival.”
As Midoriya turned all his attention to the suits, Bakugo felt comfortable enough to ask, “So, you still do all that analysis in your notebook?”
“Yeah!” answered Midoriya quickly, not bothering to look up from his stack of papers.
“Join one of our quirk training classes. You’ll be taking notes for the next week,” offered Bakugo, knowing his peers would appreciate a description of their quirk and ways to utilize and improve it.
Not only did Bakugo and Kirishima leave that room with the best model of their hero costume yet, but they also left with a new ally. They achieved becoming friends with the UA heartthrob and confirmed that he was a stunning and smart person.
It was safe to say class 1-A took Midoriya under their wing after he started hanging out with them. It also became a secret bet to see who Midoriya would end up dating. The highest bets were between Kirishima, Bakugo, and Todoroki.
Everyone lost. Midoriya ended up remaining single his entire time at UA High. He knew he was perfect and didn’t need anyone to prove it.

While looking over some papers having to do with Jungkook and Namjoon, the other nurses were sitting around your desk area, idly working. Another nurse had walked in and started giving out trays of food meant for the patients. You gave her a thankful smile when she handed you Namjoon’s food. Jungkook had to get his nutrients through an IV due to him still being in a coma.
“Eun Ae.” You heard the lunch nurse speak up. “You have to take Min Yoongi his food.” She told the other lady.
You looked up from gathering your things, noticing it was the nurse who stormed out of Yoongi’s room the first day you met him. She gave the cup given to him a deadly glare before crossing her arms in defiance.
“No!” Eun Ae sneered. “I refuse to see him.” She gave you a look. “Tell the new girl to do it.”
You raised your brows the moment they all turned to look at you. You gripped Namjoon’s food tray tighter from all the eyes. But lucky you, the nurse decided to spare you the attention.
“The new girl isn't Yoongi's nurse.” She glared at Aun Ae.
“Well I say she is now.” Eun Ae answered aggressively. She shoved some papers on her desk to the side, picking up the other lunch trays given to her. “I am done with his tantrums and sour personality. He is the devil's favorite and I don't need that kind of energy.” With that she strutted off to visit her other patients.
The nurse turned around to face you with an irritated expression. However it wasn’t directed towards you with the way she sighed to calm herself before speaking to you.”(Y/N)?” She called. “Would you be a dear and take this to Min Yoongi. He's in room 2.”
“Yes.” You spoke up. She handed you his tray, filled with only a styrofoam cup with a straw on the side.
The lid kept you from seeing what kind of drink it was but it must have been some kind of smoothie from how heavy it made the tray. From over the cap., you could easily make out the red color that swished around inside.
“Is this it?” You frowned when you noticed how much more Namjoon seemed to have. You moved Yoongi’s cup onto Namjoon’s tray in order to not struggle so much.
“Yes?” The nurse frowned, confused. “Why do you ask?”
“Well it's just a drink.” You explained.
The nurse suddenly looked at you oddly. She was trying to figure out if you were serious or truly not in the loop about the whole thing. “Do you not know why he's here?”
“No?” You told her, tilting your head. “He's not my patient.”
“Right. Right.” She said, nodding her head. “Well that's because it's what he eats.” She added with a shrug.
“Just a drink?” You asked incredulously.
“(Y/N),” She turned back to you with a questionable look. “Do you not know he's a v-”
“Hui Geom!” Someone rushed into the office, panting. “Mina won't stop screaming!” They called in a rush, hands covering their ears.
“Aish, that girl.” Hui Geom didn’t get to finish what she was going to tell you.
You sighed to yourself, deciding it best to just move on with your day. With Yoongi’s room being one of the first you would come across, you found it easier to just drop off his one cup. You knocked on the door–as one should–before entering when there was shuffling on the other side. The lights were turned off as usual the moment you walked in.
“Yoongi?” You called out. “I got your food.” The night light from last time you were in his room was suddenly turned on and you could make out his silhouette walking over to you.
Your lips pulled into a smile as you could make out his round cheeks and fluffy hair. When he was close enough, you handed him the regular size cup. He grabbed it from the bottom, trying to avoid touching your fingers.
“Ya know, I don't think just a smoothie is very healthy.” You explained to him.
His hands were quick to cover the lid, turning around to avoid you staring at it. “It's what I eat.” He shrugged.
“What is it?” You asked as he took a sip from the straw.
With him turned from you, you hadn’t seen how his eyes rolled to the back of his head or how black veins turned up under them and stretched down halfway to his cheeks.
“Cherry?” He spoke without thinking. He lightly turned to you, the dark room keeping you from seeing his face fully. “You just going to watch me eat?” He asked when he noticed you were still standing in the room.
You tried to keep from frowning. His words stung but he didn’t mean them in a harsh way. He probably just didn’t like when people watched him eat like you knew a lot of others did.
“Oh, would you like for me to leave?” You asked him, feet shuffling around.
Your eyes were downcasted down, making Yoongi feel upset about making you leave the room. However he knew that he couldn’t have you watch him eat. He turned into a monster when he would eat. He knew you had no clue about their existence and he would rather keep it that way for the time being.
Seeing you look so sad over leaving his room, had him speaking before he realized it. “I'll go get you when I'm done.” He spoke up, causing you to look at him.
“That's fine, I guess.” You smiled softly. He felt relieved you understood. Hopefully you just thought he didn’t like when people watched him eat. And that was exactly what you had been thinking.
Just as you went to turn around and open the door, someone swung it open without knocking.
“Hyung!” Taehyung cried out, rushing forward without a care and turning on the lights. Both yours and Yoongi’s eyes squinted before they adjusted to the new scene.
“I accidentally exploded while working with my energy and I gave myself a really bad gash.” The boy was holding onto his shit to keep it off his skin. “Jungkook obviously can’t lick it so can I have some of your bloo-” His eyes went wide when they landed on you.
“Oh. Hi, Jagiya.” Taehyung dropped his shirt, arms still held at a length away. There was a goofy smile on his face but you could see how he panicked inside by glancing between you and Yoongi.
“Hi, Taehyung?” You questioned, eyes drifting to his torso that he seemed to avoid touching.
He held his arms at his side but didn’t let them rest. He was probably in pain from the injury he supposedly got and didn’t want to touch it.
“Why don't you ask Hobi?” Yoongi sighed, walking closer to the boy.
“You know he can't heal me.” Taehyung said pointedly.
“Taehyung, your nurse is supposed to take care of your injuries.” You butted in, hands moving to hold onto Taehyung. “Let me see.” As your fingers moved to the bottom of his shirt, he allowed you to softly shift it up.
You gasped, almost letting go of the fabric. You crochet down in front of him, trying to get a closer look at the injury. It covered the entirety of Taehyung's left side starting from just under his armpit down to waist. It looked like he had tried to move out of whatever hit him so it only caused a scrape.
Due to this it did look like Tarhyung had just fallen onto cement on his side. However the thing that worried you was that it didn’t look like a regular scrap that would boil over with blood. The injury was black as his skin looked bruised as well.
“How did you do this?” You asked incredulously. “What kind of injury even is this?” You wanted to touch his skin to get a better look but went against it for fear of hurting the man.
Yoongi sighed behind you as he leaned back from inspecting it. “I got it, (Y/N).” He told you, taking a hold of your body and moving you towards the door. “Thank you for the food, but give me a moment and I'll heal him.” He explained.
His hand moved down to comfort you but the moment it touched your skin you flinched back. “Your hand is freezing.” You gasped, taking a hold of it. You brought it up to your mouth to blow on it and warm them up between your own. However, as your fingers danced down to his wrists you realized the rest of his arm was cold.
You shook your head as you convinced yourself it was probably just the air conditioning. Like how Namjoon’s body was hot because of the shower. Your mind was playing tricks on you again.
“Also how do you know how to heal Tae?” You shook your head, eyebrows furrowed as you looked up at him.
“Yes, my skin is cold.” Yoongi spoke quickly, softly punching you outside into the hallway. “Now if you'll excuse us.” He avoided your last question. You were brought out your stupor when the door clicked shut.
With Namjoon’s food tray in hand, you went back over what Taehyung had said. He mentioned Jungkook, but knew that he wouldn’t be of help because the boy was asleep. However his words did leave you stumped.
“Why would Jungkook lick him?”

Class 1A - When You’re In A Coma, What They Would Do
100 Followers Event: Day 6/31
(Characters Included- Jiro, Midoriya, Mina, Iida, and Kirishima.)
(Warning: GN! Reader, a little bit of angst, mentions of blood and injuries.)
(Scenario- You got a serious head injury from a villain attack and now you’re in a coma)
Tumblr media
🎶Kyoka Jiro🎶
- When she found out she was pissed why does the bad things always happen to good people, especially you, you didn’t deserve this. Yaoyorozu and Tsuyu helped Jiro to not blame herself about this.
- Jiro would sit next to your hospital bed and she would remember how much you said that you loved her singing voice, so she will sing your favorite songs while getting emotional and crying a little bit.
🥦Izuku Midoriya🥦
- This poor boy would be so so very worried, whoever told him that you were in a coma he would ask them loads of questions like “Are they okay?”, “What happened?”, “Who in the world would do this?”
- When he gets to the hospital, he asks the doctor about fifty million questions and when he gets to your bed he just sits there next to you. He would bring food from his house that he made and eat in front of you while talking about his day, even though he knows that you can’t see or hear him.
👽Mina Ashido👽
- She would be very upset, first she lost her teacher, Midnight, now she’s about to lose you. Though Mina is extremely worried about you, she tries to look on the bright side of the situation she tries not to think about the worst case scenario.
- She would talk to your unconscious body about the things you guys usually talked about, relationships, new moves she learned during training, etc.
🗣️Tenya Iida🗣️
- He would be really nervous, his brother was paralyzed from the waist down from Stain which still is a bad injury but you.., you have a very serious head injury enough to put you into a coma. Iida told himself that he wasn’t going to kill the villain, but instead he was gonna capture the villain, he learned his lesson from the situation with Stain.
- Whenever he was in class Iida would take double notes so that you and him can have notes. Plus he didn’t want you to fall behind on your grades.
🪨Ejirou Kirishima🪨
- Kirishima would feel so frustrated, “Why wasn’t he there to save you?” and “That damn villain is going to pay.” those kind of thoughts were going through his head.
- He wouldn’t visit you because he doesn’t want to see you in that bloodied state. Instead he would take out his frustration and anger on his training, to the point where one of his friends has to stop him because his fist would be bruised and bloody.

Eowyn and Faramir end up together because they understand each other on a fundamental level. The core of their relationship is not just based on mutual respect (although that’s great by itself!) it’s also based on a mutual sense of “I know what you’ve been through and I get it. I see you.”
Like. Faramir has fought the witch king. He faced the witch king when he tried to retake Osgiliath at Denethor’s order. The witch king caused Faramir’s forces to scatter in fear - battle-tested men of Gondor, all - and Faramir took so many wounds defending said forces on their retreat back to Minas Tirith that when he arrived in the city, Denethor thought he was dead. Recovering from this caused him to have to miss out on the battle of Pelennor Fields.
When he’s in the halls of healing and he asks about Eowyn, when he hears what she did, his respect for her is not just the respect of a warrior for a fellow warrior, it’s also a visceral sense of “oh, I know Exactly what you faced. What you defeated. What you lived through.” (Not to mention he’s the steward of Gondor now and she quite literally saved his fuckin city)
And imagine Eowyn sitting with him and listening to him talk about Osgiliath. She knows what he faced there too. She also understands intimately the fears Faramir had at the earlier battle of Osgiliath, where he fought next to Boromir, and she will 100% sympathize with his grief for such a brother. She has just been pulled out of a dark coma where she saw her own brother’s death played out before her.
Just. Eowyn. And Faramir. Do you understand.
